Have you met our E-Board? These students were chosen by their peers to lead our group this year as well as service as officers for Thespian Honor Society! π
Have you heard about β¨Stars of Tomorrow?β¨
This year our musical cast and crew will be participating in the Rochester Broadway Theatre Leagues education program "Stars of Tomorrow". Participating schools host judges both in the audience and backstage and are judged in categories such as acting, singing, dancing, and stage crew. We won't know when or where the judges are in our audience and after the show they will send us feedback about our performance. Participating schools will be recognized and awards will be given out at the Stars of Tomorrow Gala in May where our cast and crew will get to perform a number from our show on a real Broadway stage at the Rochester Auditorium Theatre. Select students may also be chosen to perform in the Gala's opening number, be recognized for specialty awards, and be eligible to compete in Stars of Tomorrow NYC Bound for a chance to represent Rochester at the National High School Music Theatre Awards! 34 schools from western and central NY are participating this year, but SCCS is the only school representing Cayuga county! β€οΈπ
Speaking of performances, here is some bonus content from today's rehearsal. Our featured dancers tried out their character shoes for the first time, and well, it's the precision for me! π
