Venues:
Look up event space instead of "wedding venue." Check community areas/centers, Legions, Lodges, VFWs, etc. Opt to have both ceremony and reception in the same place.
Food:
Catering is mainly too expensive so if you're looking for a cheaper option, Buffet and/or Potluck. Pot luck people can bring whatever. But for the buffet you could do a "cooking party" b4 the wedding where people help make the food. OR ask some family members to make certain food you want (provide recipe).
Flowers/Decor:
Fake florals are the cheapest. I recommend Amazon Foam Roses and or silk florals.
( Note: most people suggest Sola Wood but they tend to mold bc you have to dye them and dry them correctly). Other decor you can get cheap on Shein or at the Dollar store.
DJ:
No DJ for hire. A speaker and someone to cue music works just fine.
Outfits:
Online buying has changed. Try on at home wedding dresses at Azazie.com or Cocomelody.com. Other quality websites include: Windsor, Lulu's, ASOS, Bella and Bloom Boutique, Shein. Bridesmaids, can get dresses cheap on Shein, Birds Grey, Azazie, Windsor, etc. Men can buy suits off Amazon.

Weddings aren't what they used to be. You can definitely find options cheaper, even though sometimes it seems impossible. Here is some advice to keep costs low:
• Try to have your ceremony and reception at the same place.
• Instead of searching for "wedding venues" look up "event space." Places like City Halls and Community Centers can be very cheap for the day or weekend.
• Fake Florals: DIYing is your best friend to keep costs low. Visit your local Hobby Lobby or Dollar Store/Tree for AMAZING wedding decor. As well as check Shein.com or get the App. DEALS DEALS DEALS.
• Food. Let's face it, everything is expensive, especially hiring someone to do it for you. Some services you can find cheap, most brides nowadays go for Pasta bars or Taco Bars/Trucks. You can also do a DIY pasta buffet (which is what im doing). Mac and cheese and chicken alfredo for main courses. (Chicken is the least most expensive meat)
• Wedding Dress. Now I know most women want to feel like a princess on their wedding day, but obviously the dress usually can take us out of budget. Opt to buying a dress online and then getting alterations if needed. Dress buying is AMAZING nowadays. Some websites even let you try dresses on AT HOME, both bride and bridal party.
