So Easter is coming up in a few weeks and it reminds me of the time a customer asked if I could "make" a Baby's First Easter Photoshoot back drop. I thought about and said yes. My plan was to make a rainbow arch, buy a plain white material for the back, get a cute basket big enough to put the baby in, fill it with eggs, and have a few cute Easter decorations. I gathered all the materials and waited to make the ballon arch the day of (I didn't know then you can actually make it days in advance without deflating). I get the call early one Saturday saying okay shes ready for me to set it up at the house so I start working on thw balloon arch. It took me 3 hours to put together and it looked horrible, it was leaning to one side and I didn't like it so I undid the whole thing and tried again using a garland strap. Again it looked horrible but the whole day had passed by and she was waiting on me. So I delivered and set it up not happy with it and I can tell she wasn't either but she put on a smile and said it was great and she would send me the pics.. Well she never sent any pictures. A week went by and I felt horrible so I decided to remake the entire rainbows arch using bigger balloons. It took me 5 hours to do and I surprise the customer with it for free. I removed the old some what deflated ones and gave her the new one hoping she would do the shoot. Well she never did and I'm still disappointed in that... To finally make up for it I think I'm going to do a free baby's first Easter photo shoot

Now the party at the Hall had multiple mistakes that I learned from.
I had assumed the Hall was your typical Veterans Hall that most parties are thrown in, so I had an idea in my head what the hall looked like without actually seeing it and started to plan the decorations off my assumptions. Well I was completely wrong on that. The Hall was much larger than I thought and it had lots of flaws that needed to be covered with decorations that I did not have. Unfortunately I didn't have enough decorations to fill the Hall and cover all the flaws so it didn't look as great as it could have been. I was told the graduate still had a great time at his party which is all that matters in the end but a lot of his family and friends dogged his mom about the decorations which upset her a lot in the end 💔.
So what did I learn from these mistakes? For now on I will always view the property that a party will be taken place at whether thats via pictures or personally going there ahead of time before starting to buy and plan decorations. 2nd I will ask my customers if there is anything they think needs to be covered up or an area that needs to be decorated more so they get more of what they want ❤.

I'm not perfect, I make mistakes, but as long as I can learn from my mistakes and try to do better next time I think I'm doing alright 💯

The at home party came together perfect. 😍 It was beautiful, everything seem to fit were it should. The customer and I was very happy with the way it looked. The only problem we had was with the yard signs I ordered. They weren't as big as we thought they would be and they didn't pop out for the drive by congrats parade.
😕 So that was mistake #1 and I learned from that mistake. From now on I look deep into the dimensions of a product before ordering or I shop in person.

I transformed this regular somewhat cheap hotel room into this out of a romantic movie scene. Definitely one of my favorite decorations to do 😊
See you dont need to spend loads of money on a fancy hotel room for one night to be romantic.
This man was so happy and said his wife loved it so much that she actually cried ❤ Made my heart so happy that I could make her birthday even more special for her

Hi! 👋 My name is Candice. Over the last 5 years I've noticed that I enjoyed helping family and friends turn regualy house parties into extraordinary at home parties. I love making balloon arches, making decorations, and turning a regular room into a party room. In 2021 I decided to make Ballin On A Budget Party Planner since work was slow and I needed another source of income. I did a few gigs and then I got a new full time job. I let go of the side gig while getting things under control with my new job in 2022. But here we are in 2023 and I'm ready to get this started again now that I have things more in control with my full time job.

You've heard of birthday flowers? Well have you ever heard of balloon birthday flowers?? These are so cute and fun to have or give someone for their birthday. They make cute table pieces or nice floor decorations. $7 a piece for the big ones .2 for $20, or 6 for $30. The small ones are $5 a piece. Pick your favorite colors and if you want a big or small one ❤

So its been a while since I've posted anything. Was taking a little summer break but I am back and I'm working on some stuff to help yall with your DIY parties 😁. I know most people prefer to do parties on their own, I do, but some times it's a little too much to do on your own. Especially if you're interested in the balloon garland trend. 🎈🎈So I'm working on a nonexpensive price-list on these to help you have one less thing to do
Anyone who has done one of these tell me how difficult did you find it and were you happy with the end result?

Some of you might know this and some of you might not but this is not my main job.. I do have a full time job that Im dedicated to Monday thru Friday but that doesn't mean I'm not dedicated to this also...I've given myself bruises by moving furniture around to get decorations up. I have tied 100s of balloons for hours until it felt like my fingers were going to fall off. I've spend more time trying to make sure everything is correct for a party than what I charge and I didn't ask for the payment of the extra hours I put in.. The reason why I put so much effort in this side gig is because I love decorating and I love seeing the outcome when I do it well. I also want my business to grow and become successful and maybe one day this will be my main job...... Sorry for the random posts this is just something that has been on my mind for a while and I felt like sharing

Just a reminder of what the first one looked like compared to this 😅 I really was not happy with that bottom pic, I didn't like the way it leaned and the colors looked wonky and uneven. The top picture isn't perfect but I'm much happier with it and it looks better. It has a good arch and the ballons are even 😊

So no one is perfect including myself and I feel I have to share my failures too and be honest with all of you. So a few weeks ago a lady came to me and asked if I could help with a cute set up for a baby's first Easter pics. 👶 🐣 I did some Googleing and came up with a cute idea to do the baby in a basket of eggs with a rainbow balloons arch. 🌈 I got all the stuff together and decided I wasn't going to put the balloons together until the day she wanted it.. well there is where I went wrong. I should have practiced that first and I did not. It took me 5 hours to put together and I redid it twice before bringing it over and helping set up there. But honestly I wasnt happy with the final outcome and I wish I could have done better. But like I said at the beginning I'm not perfect and now I need to learn from my mistake and get better.

So this theme was such a success that we did it twice! This was a glow light-ballon theme party we did for my Godchild's 2nd party and his big sister's 7 yr old party. The kids had so much fun and its looked so cool. If you're interested in doing something like this in the future message me 😎
