‼️ATTENTION‼️

We will be hosting a benefit for a little girl named Charley, and her family on January 13th 2024. Please read her story below, and let’s do what we can for this sweet girl & her family 💛 We are accepting donations now and up until the benefit. You can reach out to us via our facebook messenger, or call 608-362-5249 and ask for Kapria regarding any donations. We also are selling bracelets at the bar, proceeds going to her and her family. Ask your bartender or server for one today! Share, share ,share this post so we can spread the word & do all we can for her!

Charley’s Story:

Charley is 8 years old and was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma which is a rare form of bone cancer in early August. She will have 29 total weeks of chemotherapy that will take us into March of 2024. Around week 11 she will have a surgery called a rotationplasty where a portion of her left leg will be removed, while her foot below the involved portion is rotated (essentially her foot will be backwards) and reattached at the knee. This is due to the placement and severity of her tumor. She has a 7.2 cm tumor on her left femur and two smaller cancerous spots on her tibia and fibula. After several weeks of discussing options with her surgeon they came up with this being the best decision giving her the most movement going forward. Even though this is the best decision for her it is still very mentally draining to accept the fact that she will loose her leg. As well as it being a very long surgery and a long recovery. Her surgery is at the end of October and she is expecting to be at the hospital for several weeks followed by more chemotherapy and physical therapy so she can learn how to walk again. Along with Charleys health concerns, her parents have two other kids at home. Cayde who is a 5 year old boy and Cennedy who is the youngest 4 year old girl and is autistic. Her father and step father both work full time leaving her mother at home or the hospital during her stays. They are lucky enough to have help from family with the other kids during their trips back and forth to UW children’s hospital. Charley and her family have taken it upon themselves to sell “Charleys Angels” bracelets at some of their favorite businesses but with the amount of appointments, gas, unexpected medical expenses, and the winter months coming up where both dads will be out of work they are hoping to have a little more help to keep their family afloat. Literally anything helps even if it’s just a prayer for Charley but if you are able to donate or participate for her benefit they would greatly appreciate it.
