Our most sincere condolences to the Motta Family ❤️

Morris “Sonny” P. Motta, 83, a lifelong resident of Cedar Hill Road, Robeson Twp., passed away on August 30, 2024 at the Reading Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Reading, PA he was the son of the late Morris M. and Antoinette (Di Guglielmo) Motta. He was the husband of Janet M. (Rossi) Motta for 63 years.
Sonny and his wife owned and operated Cedar Hill Flowers before retiring in 1984. He loved spending time with family and friends at his home in Crystal Beach, MD, along the Chesapeake Bay.
Surviving Sonny, along with his wife Janet, are: 3 daughters: Michelle Bowman, wife of Todd, Charlene Benner, wife of Robert, Christal Wentzel, wife of Jonathan;1 brother: Carl Motta; 8 grandchildren: Michael Bowman, husband of Brittany, Kyle Benner, Rachelle Benner, Bryce Bowman, husband of Lindsay; Alec Wentzel, husband of Halee, Austin Wentzel, husband of Nicolle, Jessica Yarnall, wife of Myk and Justin Wentzel; and 6 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister: Darlene Motta
A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, September 5, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. An additional viewing will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 from 11:15am-12:00 noon at Immaculate Conception BVM RC Church, 905 Chestnut St. Douglassville, PA 19518, with a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a luncheon at the church social hall following the burial.
As flowers were a major part of Sonny’s life, floral tributes are appreciated or donations made to Immaculate Conception BVMRCC at the above address.
