The New England Patriots (-16.5) host the Houston Texans on Saturday at 8:15pm EST for their divisional playoff game.

The last time New England did not make it past the divisional round was 2010, Where they lost to the New York Jets.

The Texans have only made the playoffs 3 times since 2002, New England has played in the Superbowl 5 times (winning 3).

Houston's keys to winning this game will be defense. It is one of the few things they are good at. If they can stop the New England onslaught of yards and touchdowns, They have a chance.

Atlanta's Defense allows 25/per game (We need to consider their strength of schedule here, Tampa 2x, Saints 2x, Carolina 2x, Green Bay, Denver, Oakland, Philly, Arizona, KC, (All teams that are or were fighting for playoff spots. even though the saints did not have much contention in the playoffs, they ranked 2nd in offensive points, and first in total yards.

Richard Sherman doesn't need to worry about "a sorry receiver like Crabtree" this year, he gets to deal with JULIO JONES, 129 catches for 1'409 yards, ( 17.0/yds per reception!!!) No one who has caught 75 passes or more, is even within a yard of that average. He has broken 27 plays for 20+ yards. Second most in the NFL.

SCORE PREDICTION; NFL PLAYOFF SEATTLE (-8.0) VS DETROIT

DETROIT; Cons; offense is 20th in yards, 21st in points, 20th in turnover differential.

Pros; Stafford has thrown the fewest interceptions in his career this since (starting all 16 games)

SEATTLE; Cons; Offense (not a weakness, but isn't much of a threat against a solid defense, This may cause them issues later on) Having been in the playoffs and Superbowl 2x in the last 5 years, this is their lowest scoring offensive year.

Pros; DEFENSE. DEFENSE. DEFENSE. Of those last 5 years, When they won their division they made a Superbowl appearance. It just so happens, they won their division again this year.

DETROIT (14) SEATTLE (33)

01/07/2017
