This has been a year of Lego cakes and I love it!
A few years ago I made my own silicone mold using real legos to form the pattern. The lifelike legos and bright colors are what makes these themed cakes some of my favorite ones to design for clients.

This cake was such a treat to make! My cousin lives in Kentucky and I never get to see her. Her darling daughter got married here in Utah so not only did I get to make one of my FAVORITE cake designs, I also got to see my favorite cousin! Win! Win!
The reception was at . It was the first time I had been to this venue and it was breathtaking! If you are getting married, I’d definitely take a look at this place.

All my kiddos are older now, so I’ve never watched an episode of Bluey. But I hope this cake made the birthday girl smile 😊

When you get married in the winter in Utah, a snowy mountain vibe is 👌🏻
I absolutely loved Ellie’s design idea for her wedding cake. The mountains were created by adding multiple layers of buttercream on top of each other. You can’t see it in the picture, but we added a little edible glitter to the white buttercream to give it the look of glistening snow.

I’m loving this cake! The white buttercream with white roses and just a touch of greenery is so elegant and timeless. Pair it with a venue full of mini twinkle lights and it’s pure magic ❤️

I loved making this cake for Spencer and Emma!
Fondant cakes with gum paste flowers is what the style was when I first started my cake business 15+ years ago. Because there weren’t online tutorials back then, it took a lot of trial and error to figure out how to make flowers. Over the years, it’s become one of my favorite part of cake designing.

Having your wedding outside in the summer heat can be a little scary when it comes to having your wedding cake on display, but outdoor weddings are also so beautiful!!
Here’s a few tips:
1) Put your cake in a shaded area
2) Have your cake decorator deliver it as close to when the party is about to start as possible or keep it indoors or in a fridge until right before your guests arrive
3) Consider cutting your cake earlier in the night
4) Ask your photographer to take pictures of you by the cake shortly after it is delivered so you have photos just in case the heat compromises your cake
5) Assign someone to keep watch on the cake through the night. If it’s starting to melt, change plans and go and do your cake cutting pics as soon as possible.

I’m getting to the age where all my friends kids are starting to get married and it is surreal. How can these kids go and grow up in us? 😂 This cake was for the little girl next door with the kindest heart, a bold and confident personality, my daughters first piano teacher, and one of my favorite people in the planet. The making of a spring floral cake 🌸🌼🌷

When Lori came to me with this idea for her husbands 70th birthday party, I knew this cake was going to be a fun one. Her husband is an outdoorsman through and through. He’s traveled the world hunting and fishing and loves to share his adventures with others. She wanted this cake to represent him in every way. We started off with a vanilla and chocolate camouflage cake buttercream cake. The sunset was then airbrushed onto the buttercream. The worlds coolest aunt calls me every year for a cake for her niece. We’ve done a Barbie cake, My little pony cake, rainbow cake and a few others that this darling little girl has wanted for her bday. This year, she insisted on a teal and gold safari cake.
