Yes, Silver Threads Country Catering will be back at the Johnson City Farmers Market this year. Our first day is Saturday , May 4 from 8:00 to 1:00. We'll have some new Gluten free products and some new cakes and breads that aren't Gluten free. Come check us out. We're looking forward to seeing you all.

Joe & I are taking the next 3 Saturday's off , Oct,7,14&21 . We will return Saturday Oct.28. If you would like to order cakes to freeze please let me know no later than Oct.25. I will also take Holiday orders for Thanksgiving & Christmas.You may pick up at my home or meet at Market Pavilion at a time convenient for you & me. If we have multable orders for the same day in JC we will also deliver to your home as long as it's not too far out of the way. We do come from Bristol near South Holston Lake.
You all have made this a wonderful season and have enjoyed making new friends & seeing all our faithful regulars.We look forward to seeing you all in the Spring of 2024.

Well, we came to setup and between the rain and wind everything was getting soaked including us. We decided to pack up and go home. Hopefully next week will be better. Sorry about that but Janice has been sick and was afraid this would make her sicker. We'll be selling from the house today.

I regret to inform you that due to several issues I will no longer provide catering services. I have gone back to strictly baked goods and desserts which is my first love . I am now considered a bakery. Since it's a pain to change my businesses name ,I will remain SILVER THREADS COUNTRY CATERING. I am taking orders for all your holiday needs for desserts. Due to our current situation Silver Threads Country Catering will suspend operations until further notice. The Johnson City Farmer's Market will not open as scheduled for late April. We hope to see you all soon but in the meantime stay safe and healthy.

Oh my, it's almost over. What a wonderful season we've had this year at The Johnson City Farmer's Market. Thanks to you ,our customer's . For those of you that want a particular item you need to call or message me so that I can hold that item for you . You may also place orders for the last Saturday October 26th. You can do so tomorrow or you may call by Monday October 21. Please don't wait until the day before market to order because you may be out of luck. Remember that we do sell from our home when we aren't at the market. You may pick up at our home or we will deliver for a small fee depending on the distance of the delivery or the amount you order. We work year round so feel free to call. Thanks again for a great season. Janice & Joe

I'm sorry I haven't posted on here for awhile. I had surgery the first of February and am now feeling more like myself. We hope to be at the Johnson City Farmer's Market on April 28 from 7:00 am - 2:00 pm. We haven't heard back from them as to whether our application has been accepted this year so stay tuned for an update any day now. The market is revamping a lot of stuff and it's taking a little time to get used to the new system. I'll let you know as soon as I know if we'll be setting up in J.C. this year. Thanks for your patience.

As promised , here's a list of cakes on hand for last minute shopper's: 9x9 cakes - 2 carrot w/ orange cream cheese icing - 2 coconut cream - 2 hummingbird w/pecan/cream cheese icing - 1 lemon w/lemon cream cheese icing - 1 oatmeal & 8 1/2 cream cheese filled pumpkin rolls. I can still take special orders if you don't wait too long to order. Cakes are $9.00 & Pumpkin rolls are $11.00 that includes tax.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are getting ready for Christmas. So here's the deal. I have a lot of good sized catering jobs in the next 2 weeks to get ready for. That being said , if you want desserts for Christmas or parties you need to order as soon as possible so I can make up my work schedule. I don't want to have to turn people down and I don't know how long I'll be able to take orders so don't be a last minute person or you may be out of luck this year. Depending on the size of your order ,I will deliver to you or you can pick up here. Please don't put it off. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

Remember this Saturday , November the 4th is our last Saturday at the Johnson City Farmer's Market. We hope you will join us to say goodbye until next Spring. We'd like to thank all of our customer's for making this an amazing season. We hope your holidays are blessed and that you have a warm and happy winter. We will be taking orders for Thanksgiving and Christmas so order early. Deadline for Thanksgiving is Nov.15th , we will deliver on the 18th & 19th. Deadline for Christmas is Dec.20th and we will deliver on the 22nd & 23rd.
