What I love most about this art is the detail I get to put into every single bloom I press. That's also why it can be so difficult and time consuming. The process of taking a live flower (a 3D object) and then flattening it, preserving it using various methods, and often disassembling it, takes time and expertise. But the true art is figuring out how to piece each flower back together in a way that showcases it's uniqueness as the specific type of flower it is AND highlights it's beauty as close as possible to when it was alive. PHEW ..I try my best and sometimes it doesn't come across the way I'm hoping, but sometimes it DOES! 😍😍😍

I love the inclusion of a wedding invitation along with the bouquet, especially when the invite and flowers match so perfectly! And I seriously wish this was a touch and feel because even after pressing the dusty miller is still so soft! Thanks for letting me preserve this memory for you Amanda Cheney!

I loved working on this beautiful pinky bouquet! The bride chose a rose gold frame and it really was such a perfect compliment to these blooms. Also peep the little white lace flowers I was able to add in from the lace wrapped around her stems! I love special little touches like this! 💜

Guys, it's been a LONG time since I've posted and there's a reason for that.... First of all - DONT WORRY, I'm still pressing beautiful flowers for my clients! But life is constantly throwing us curve balls and we've been dealing with a lot of health challenges with our sweet boys. Because of that I'm behind on orders and I've been working my t**h off to get them completed! Thanks to all my customers who have given me grace over the last few months, I promise it will be worth the wait! 💜 Here's a bouquet i pressed for a beautiful bride who waited a whole year for her order and ended up receiving it on her first wedding anniversary. 💐

A special memorial arrangement to remember a loved one. Many of my customers decide very last minute that they want to press special flowers and often they only have a few flowers out of a whole arrangement. That's ok, we can still create a beautiful keepsake out of just a few flowers. 💜

I LOVE doing pressings for my best friends, and this one was no exception! Kim & Matt got married in 2014 and her bouquet was air dried. Years later that bouquet was looking pretty ragged... so for their anniversary Matt surprised Kim with her bridal bouquet remade. (SO SWEET!) I had the honor of pressing this beauty and I was even able to save some billy balls from her original bouquet to add to her pressing! 🟡🟡🟡 Also, I LOVE DUSTY MILLER!

A while ago, when I first started this business a close friend of mine asked me if I could press her wedding bouquet. Of course, YES! was my answer, I love pressing for friends. But then I realized...she got married OVER A YEAR AGO! So I said, well, let me see what I can do... 🤔 And I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I was able to "rehydrate" and press a bouquet that had been air dried for a year! 😲😲😲

Don't get me wrong, I would NEVER recommend this to a bride. Flowers always, always, ALWAYS need to be pressed fresh. This press was difficult, time consuming, and could have ended in the loss of her entire dried bouquet with nothing to show for it. But, she wanted to take the risk and I was up for it, and we're both pretty happy we did! 💜

Checkout this beautiful dried flower tree at the Winterthur Museum in Delaware! 🎄

All of the flowers on the tree are collected from the property throughout the previous season and then dried, so each year the tree is different depending on what performed well in the gardens that year.

How fun is this? I'd love to make a trip to visit it next year!

ALL flowers change color over time and with pressing. Lighter colored flowers often fade, but I love the way that red flowers always deepen after coming out of the presses. Check out these carnation petals before and after pressing! ❤️
