Tomorrow I’ll be doing a Demo on “Styling with Dried Flowers” at the Art in Bloom at Newfields. While I’m honored and excited- the anxiety I get over public speaking is ridiculous! Stage, mic, lights ugh….. Faith larger than Fear, right? Anyway, as scary as it is, I do hope to see you there. Please come say hello after, it’s so fun meeting my flower people IRL!!

The Demo is in the Deer Pavilion at 1pm, Sat the 2nd.

This years Art in Bloom piece. Randomly selected by Newfields, this years proved to be a challenge for me. Small, one color, one surface texture( stone) ! Instead of creating a head made of flowers ( which may have been easier and a more obvious choice)
I chose to capture the essence of the sculpture, in color and floral texture. I hope you get to check it out in person along with all the other floral pieces throughout the museum. I will be around much of Saturday- before and after the Demo I’ll be giving at 1pm. Hope to see you there!

The “Head of a King” sculpture, as well as my floral piece can be found in the first room of the Asian Art Wing ( 3rd floor). The Demo is first come first serve and will be in the Deer Pavilion.

Hi flower friends, it’s Buffy- owner/designer here at “the newly named” Blush Love Flora- I just wanted to let you know of the Art in Bloom exhibit that will start a week from Thursday! March 31st-April 2nd. I’ll provide the official info below. Please let me know if and when you plan to visit so I can say hello. I will have my floral piece on display in the Asian Art wing on the 3rd floor.
I am scheduled to do a live demo on “Styling with Dried Florals” on Sat the 1st at 1pm. On top of my fear of public speaking- My floral piece is anything but straight forward so wish me luck🍀. I participated last year and look forward to it again this year. I’ll be there every morning and much of Saturday.

So ready for spring, how about you? It is nice that spring comes sooner in other parts of the world so that we can a head start with all the spring blooming flowers that become available. Although there is still nothing better than watching spring bulb shoots push their way through the earth. 🌱
