As Music & BBQ At The Point concluded in 2010, Clayton and I made the tough decision that we just didn't have the energy & time to do it again. It was a fun & rewarding 5 years and we thank everyone who made it possible.

Alan Rhody

Our sincere apologies to Alan Rhody. Alan was the first guy we approached when we started planning this year's line-up It's one thing when we screw-up the festival dates on our t-shirts (we just brace ourselves for YEARS of good-natured ribbing and reply that 'We're the only guys that can pack 3 fun filled days of music into just two days.) But failing to catch the fact the Alan's name was somehow inadvertently dropped from the festival artists silk screened on the back of the Ts is unforgivable.



If you were at the festival you know what an incredible set Alan played. If you didn't get a chance to pickup some of Alan's CDs at the festival, his work is available through his website, Amazon.com and other web outlets If you weren’t able to make it to BBQ & Music @ The Point, then you owe it to yourself to check out this gifted musician & songwriter.

Check out Kentuckiana Blues Society (KBS), President Gary Sampson's show on Cresent Hill Radio. Friday night's show will feature bands playing
the Germantown Blues Festival, Ribberfest and BBQ & MUSIC AT THE POINT. Music from Lamont Gillispie & 100 Proof, Greg Foresman, One Shot Johnny, Nick Stump Blues All-Stars and Stacy Mitchhart.

Gary will also have have some older tunes from Planet Blues and the Jimmy Roberts Blues Band as well as a little preview of the Kentuckiana Blues Society's
Solo/Duo contest this Sunday at Lisa's Oak Street Lounge with tunes by
Summer Breeze and Bad Bob and Debra J, just two of the seven acts competing for a chance to go to Memphis and represent the KBS.
