GUIDE THE EXPRESSION and be confident during your photoshoot. Sometimes, couples need a little help knowing what to do when posing for photos. Most of the time, they’re nervous and don’t know what to do. I encourage them to show how they feel about each other through their looks and smiles.
👉🏼 3 Tips to help you Guide Expressions in couple photos
1. Whisper & Giggle 🤫😄
* Tip: Ask one partner to whisper something sweet (or hilariously embarrassing!). One of my clients once whispered, “Girl, I’m hungry,” into the other’s ear, and she busted out laughing and replied, “Me too.” They were so excited about their shoot that they forgot to eat anything all day. Stuff like this brings out genuine smiles and can lead to adorable reactions and laughter, perfect for capturing a candid, joyful moment!
2. Look of Love 👀❤️
* Tip: Encourage them to look at each other like it’s the first time or share a memory of when they first met. Just don’t do the “death stare”. Be gentle with the eyes. It’s all about recreating that initial spark. Be in the moment, and watch their faces light up with those loving gazes that say more than words ever could!
3. Smile with Your Eyes 🌟
* Tip: This one is for my fellas who are too “tuff” to smile. Sometimes, it’s not about the broad smiles but the little glances and how their eyes light up. Tell them to think about what they enjoy most about each other. It’s incredible how much emotion eyes can convey when shining with affection!
📷 Don’t forget to keep the session light and fun. The more relaxed the couple feels, the more natural their expressions will be!
