Thank you all for an amazing night! I can't express enough how grateful I am for anyone who came in, purchased canvases, magnets, placed orders, or just stopped to say Hi! A special thanks to all the cakes and cookies sales!!! I may or may not have just eaten a whole raspberry filled one ;) Cake and Eat it Too I'm so glad you were with me tonight! It was so fun! Yesterday I had such a great visit with one of my best supporters! Dick and Elaine Obershaw. He is a cousin to my father in law, so I've briefly known him, but this was a more personal meeting! I was still at work, when he called and they waited for me to get to my shop. They strolled the streets of Cassville, and went to Son Chasers until I arrived. I can't say how grateful I was for that long awaited meeting! Once in my shop, they couldn't express enough how much they loved my work, and when Dick first walked in, he showed me where he'd sit at the counter of what used to be a drug store..(I need to get a picture printed of that) This man loved my work before I even got the shop going, and was so happy I did. We talked about how my Dad helped motivate me to start this, and I told him about my struggles to move on after losing him. That's what he went out to his car and got his book.Yep.. this man is an author and a very good one..he wrote me a message inside and gave ME a book! We spoke about my husband's current fight against bladder cancer as he has survived that too! Dick left Cassville around 1968 and was in Vietnam. He since has had several grief counselors work under him, and has given lectures in New Zealand, London, and all over! He chose a canvas of the veterans memorial, with the ferry and sunset...and I can't wait for his next visit to Cassville! Thank you so much for the visit, encouragement, and love for your home, Cassville!
