Happy birthday to Cindy! We are so very thankful for all the good times we have shared over the years and especially for her help at Linden. Happy birthday cousin, friend, and helpmate, we love you🌻🎊🎂🏡🏡🏡
We are so thankful hurricane Ian caused very little damage to the Linden property and all the rain returned the lawn to full green glory. We are busily preparing for another wedding, happening soon. 🏡🏡🏡

Linden Manor House Interior First Floor
Featuring the three year restoration project of the Linden Manor House (ca.1825), first floor interior. With 5,000+ square ft living space we shall share the interior improvements, floor by floor. We could not have accomplished all we have without the Linden team, including the Decorating & Household Maintenance Teams: Cindy Fields, Tammy Barlow, Eunice Key, Renee Webb, Lori Thomas, Polly & Mr. Johnson of Johnson’s Exterminating, Donna & Jimmy Farmer, Judi Hardin, and their families. Our goal was to remove all darkness and create an elegant, yet comfortable, atmosphere by blending traditional antiquities with casual, country charm. The Linden team upcycled, recycled, cleaned, painted, cleaned again, moved furniture from room to room & building to building, installed newly purchased & gifted items collected from local dealers & family members. Then, suddenly - the light poured in, and we are so very thankful 🏡🏡🏡
Featuring the three year restoration project for the exterior of the historical Linden Manor House (c.1825). From start to finish through a worldwide health pandemic, supplies & resource shortages, the Linden team never stopped and we are so thankful. 🏡🏡🏡

Three Years Event Banquet Hall
Three years ago, yesterday, we started restoration of Linden. Eight months later on board were: TD Ellis Contracting, Russ Parnell Painting, Bo Swinson Flooring, Pritchard & Fallin HVAC-plumbing-electrical, Mattaponi Seasonal Services, and the family participation grew to include Farmer, Carter, & Taylor cousins. Then, the COVID worldwide health pandemic struck and government literally shut down. We started with the exterior of the Event Banquet Hall Building🏡🏡🏡
Three Years
Three years ago, today, we walked into the largest project we have ever undertaken, a part time retirement project to restore Linden. It quickly became a family and friend project and one month later the Bruce cousins were planning an upcoming wedding for a very special family member. To date, we have employed 15 small local businesses and numerous individuals with lots of laborious help from friends and family. We’re waiting in line for the remaining license requirement and look forward to offering this jewel for your entertainment pleasure. Big time thanks to everyone participating, and rest assured, Linden’s magic will shine. Happy anniversary, Baby. 🌻🏡🏡🏡
All aboard, buckle up, and let’s fly!! We’ve come a long way, baby, and we send thanks to ALL of the Linden team for their hard work, dedication, and delivery. Linden of Essex May, 2022
Linden News Bulletin: Considerable progress has been made towards receiving the final
licensing requirements before opening, however, the Northern Neck region is experiencing a tremendous building boom and the result has caused a backlog for the help we need. This is all good, and we’re in line for the appropriate assistance. Until then, we continue adding amenities and making improvements to this historical property. Let’s take a look at what’s happening on the grounds. Mattaponi Seasonal Services has worked so hard to bring this beautiful place to where it is, today, and we are thankful.🏡
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS- LINDEN STYLE
Celebrate loved ones in Grandma’s house and take a walk down memory lane. This is the sound of music provided by family of Evelyn Bruce Barlow, as she celebrates her 90th birthday, Linden style. Have a blessed day. 🏡
The Linden Manor house was built approximately 1825, according to some, as documented and confirmed by the Virginia and National Historic registries; however we’re not sure anyone ever convinced a family member’s claims 1825 is inaccurate. Sharing a peek of one of our favorite rooms, recently transformed and made possible by the Linden team. There’s something earthy and comforting about a room with a grounds eye view. 🌻Opening, July, 2021.
