Katie & Tanner ✨

When Katie and I had our pre wedding consultation for this painting, she told me that she was gaining a reputation as “the flower queen” in her family because of how many florals she wanted at her wedding ceremony. When I arrived at the ceremony to start painting, I was AWESTRUCK by the overwhelming florals by . I had an instant vision of how I wanted this gorgeous painting to turn out and here it is! Due to my husband’s work, January 2025 through June 2025 we will be living in the White Mountains of Pinetop, Arizona. We are incredibly excited to explore and live in a new part of the state for a short while!

Because of this temporary move, I will be quite a bit more selective on the remaining dates I take on for Phoenix events this coming spring. So, if you are getting married in Phoenix and you are interested in getting a live painting made during the months of January to June, reach out soon! **this change will NOT affect any wedding dates that I already have booked in the spring **

If you or someone you know is getting married in the Pinetop / Show Low / Greer / Springerville area this spring or early summer, all travel fees will be waived and I’d love to chat about making a live painting for ya!

I had the honor of creating these unique illustrative table numbers for Robby & Kati’s big day!

One of Robby and Kati’s interests as a couple is birding. They were interested in showing off this passion of theirs through their table numbers. Rather than numbers, they preferred their guests to be seated by bird type. It was important to them to have the scientific name of the bird on the table in addition to the common name so we played around with the composition and ultimately settled on this one. I love the way they chose to display these birds on wooden stumps!

If you were going to have illustrative table numbers at your wedding, what theme would you go with? Mine would most definitely be different mountains we’ve climbed 🗻

Hi! I’m Kat, the owner & artist of KM Fine Art Studios. I have been a part time commissioned oil painter throughout school and other jobs going on 10 years now (wow, that’s actually crazy!) I have been live wedding painting since early 2023 (inspired by Andrea Neff Photography’s suggestion that I give it a try after my own wedding in 2022) & I am now a full time artist as of January 2024!

Here are a few random fun facts about me so you can get to know me a little better:

1. I’m obsessed with the outdoors — hiking, backpacking, fishing, you name it! My husband and I even met on a group backpacking trip and will, of course, be continuing the adventures for years & years to come.
2. I live in Arizona now but grew up in central Illinois before attending Hope College in western Michigan. The culture shock of moving from such a lush & green state to the mountains & desert of Phoenix was unreal!
3. Although I’ve considered myself an artist from a very young age, music was a huge part of my life even before the art. I started lessons in flute at the age 5 & was also in band for the better part of my life (yes, that includes marching band). Music, particularly classical, will always have a special place in my heart. Perhaps that’s why my art is always so romantic/nostalgia focused!

I have wanted to be a full time artist & business owner for as long as I can remember. Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting me on this journey! It’s a HUGE blessing that I have been given the opportunity to create meaningful art for so many couples, and to be able to call this my job🤍

Thought it was about time to post a comparison photo of my packages & sizes! I get a lot of questions about what the main difference is between my packages and the answer to that is ✨size✨

Yes, if you get a larger package, I am at your event for a longer time but I always like to explain to my couples that the biggest decision you should be making is what size painting they want to hang in their home.

My larger sizes lend themselves more to a landscape-type wedding painting as opposed to my smaller canvases that tend to focus more on the portraits. All in all, these are the little things to be thinking about when choosing YOUR live painting package so that it suits you and your future spouse’s preferences and interests!
