One of the brunzwick outfits that I’ve made this winter. Based off of d’Innocente Guillemette de Rosnyvinen de Pire circa. 1762
I found this hand dyed teal hunter green wool from favorite tradesperson. She hand dyes wool and had enough yardage.

Here is the petticoat on the dress form with the jacket in progress. Let me just say… this jacket has been thru some changes. It is not the longer version that I normally make for Brunswick’s. I’ve had to alter the whole hem and angle the front otherwise, it would not look right on wearer.
Besides there were so many different styles of jackets in the 18th century. I think you just need to find the one that looks right on you.

I get a lot of sewing done when it’s snowing outside. Here is my Outlander gown. Outlander is a fiction fantasy drama and I only gather inspiration from it sinceI do authentic costuming.
