HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Today is our Birthday (May the 4th be with you) and we couldn't be happier that we made this far. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that 20% of small businesses shut down in their first year and with Covid-19 I'm sure this year will wipe away plenty more... but NOT THIS ONE!!!! We're hitting it harder than ever and ready to tackle year two like nothing you've seen before 🔥⁠

Years ago, I was fresh out of JWU with the whole world in front of me. I interviewed for a job at Suarez... but didn't get the job. I worked at Something Classic for a few months before I abruptly got canned by a new manager. I left in tears, felt lost, and had no idea what my purpose was or what I should do next. Starting my own bakery was me deciding to invest in myself and deciding that someone else's opinion of me wasn't going to shape the opinion I had of myself.

Over the last six years, I have had the pleasure of winning a number of awards and exceeding my own expectations for what the was going to be... but this one might be my favorite. Winning the 2020 Award for Best Custom Cakes (with Suarez taking the backseat) validates the potential I saw in myself when others couldn't. If anyone reading this is feeling like they're bigger than the fish tank they've been put in... I want to tell you to jump out and find a bigger tank. The world may be a little upside down right now but there's no time like the present to make your own path and start believing in yourself.

I gotta give a huge shot out to all of the incredible bakery babes that have been baking sweet treats and inspiring me to keep hustling the cake game year after year.









Thank you to everyone that voted for Celestial Cakery and thank you to all of friends and family that have had a hand in our growth. Charlotte is a beautiful city and we're thankful to make it a little sweeter every day :)
