on june 12th, 𝟫𝟨•𝟣𝟣 𝒻𝓁𝑜𝓌𝑒𝓇𝓈 celebrated its third year. looking ahead, i’m thankful for choosing quiet summer, something very different from last. i’m grateful for all of my upcoming autumn weddings & the sweet couples i get to work with. i reflect on how this business would not be possible with out my family. wether it’s their time, vehicles, treating to coffee or lunch while i’m working, every sacrifice is noticed & appreciated. i love flowers. i love their complexity & uniqueness. i love being able to see God in his creation. not sure what’s on the horizon for 𝟫𝟨•𝟣𝟣, but my heart & hands are open to receive what ever the Lord wants to do. 🌿

hi there, it’s been awhile 👋🏽
i’ve been taking a short break from this biz & preparing myself for my busiest season yet! in october i turned 27 & wrote a farewell to 26 post that Refinery Co. shared on their blog. it may shed a little insight as to why things have been so quiet around here. i can say that with rest comes rejuvenation, greater passion & much creativity... which makes me so ready for the 2019 wedding season! ✨
but before we skip these last few weeks of 2018, i’m sharing a throw back to a summer wedding that was magic! loved bringing bride Monica’s vision to life! complete with vintage oil lamps, books, those breathtaking blooms and custom table numbers created by my friend Woodcut Workshop Co.! 🌸

highlights from the second .co + workshop 🌿
there is something about pressing pause on our ever hectic lives, gathering together, and spending time in real community that is good for the soul. this time spent teaching a room full of the kindest women how to make these beautiful wreaths was no exception
being able to share my love of floristry, my heart for the ministry behind my business & prayers for the future is something i will never tire of. it’s such a blessing to be reminded time and time again the WHY behind WHAT i am doing. Glory to God for what’s He’s done and continues to do with 96•11 flowers
although i love teaching these wreath workshops i think it’s meeting new women and connecting on a more personal level that will always be my favorite take away

highlights from my first ever floral workshop hosted by Refinery Co. || Yesterday was quite a dream for me. Being able to share my passion and explain my heart behind 96•11 flowers brought me such joy. Working with Lauren & Jess of .co is like having your own personal cheerleaders, they care for and love the businesses they champion so well. Held at the most beautiful studio, with the most kind and loving women, I got to teach them how to make (my favorite) greenery wreaths with an added touch of springtime beauty, all while sipping wine, eating yummy treats and hear their individual stories. Like I said, a dream day. From beginning to end I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I had the comfort of familiar faces and had the pleasure of meeting new people... some of which budded new friendships! It has been a minute since I’ve interacted with you all here on 96•11 so I wanted to say a big HELLO & THANK YOU for sticking around; I hope you’re ready to dive into this Spring/Summer wedding season with me & see a beautiful mix of florals & unique style my couples bring to their events!

Since I’ve been a little MIA I thought I’d reintroduce myself 🙋🏽‍♀️ || I’m Danielle, Owner & Florist of 96•11 flowers. Looking to serve up beautiful florals to couples, businesses, events or those “just because” moments in the Chicagoland area. I dove into the florist biz about 2 1/2 years ago & it’s been such an amazing & humbling journey thus far. Within the last year I’ve had a shift in the mission of 96•11. I want to be so much more than just another wedding/event business. I want to be an outlet to outreach and build connections & community through the blooms I construct.

I recently had a chance to connect with the women behind Refinery Co. & share a bit about who I am as a small business owner & what my vision is for its future. Lauren & Jess are as genuine and kind as they come.
