Dugnad Events are local art and music happenings that work to be free and easy for the hardworking artist and affordable and engaging for the event goer.

Who: I am a local Chicago woman wanting to help the artists of this fine city get a fair chance to show their work. What: Dugnads are art and music events that showcase the work of several artists at a time. Guests are welcome to hang in the space, view the art, chat with the creators and enjoy some food and drink. Where: ALL OVER THIS FINE CITY! Honestly, I take the event to the venue that will h

ave us for an affordable price. I also try to "make the rounds". Artists and appreciators are in all neighborhoods (not just the hip) so it is important to reach all neighborhoods. When: Hopefully, with your help, the events will continue to occur every other month. Why: It can be difficult to be an artist in this world. It can be fun and full of passion, but challenging when trying to make a decent living. So, why not have events that are free for the artist and affordable and FUN for the art appreciator/event goer/curious folk? Plus, a party is a great bit of fun to have along side the creative and their work!
