There are days that I can’t find words for. Days with deep meaning and gravitas. Yet, that realization usually comes during reflection. I rush too much but this honor I get to do sometimes, the act of slowing couples down to be fully present to these moments…is such a gift. Not just a gift to them, but genuinely a gift to me. & are not only dear friends but incredible humans. I’m absurdly thankful to have them in my life and this was a true honor to capture their elopement. A few black and white images from this absurdly beautiful day. Congrats my friends, I’m finding great joy in you two finding one another. 🖤

This is an all-time toast/reception photo for me. If this was my family, I’d have this printed and framed on my wall. What a moment! I love that we get to deliver stuff like this to our couples, it’s not instagram sexy (aesthetically ballrooms are not my jam, I don’t fancy the decor, or the uplighting, etc.) but this is a moment of the good life, the good ol’ days, something really special.

I’ll gush about these amazing humans more soon — Caity & Venkat are the absolute best. I wanted to share images that reflect a playful, willing, and open spirit of creativity. Each image was photographed with glow sticks held in front of my lens and lead to some gorgeous portraits and a unique reflection of the receptions vibe. Creative collaboration with these two certainly was a blast.

Hello! I thought it would be good to do an intro as we’ve gathered a few new eyes on our account as of late. I’m Anthony () and I’ve been photographing weddings as Hitch & Sparrow for over 10 years! 2022 was a wild ride full of epic celebrations, beautiful locations and the most wonderful couples. There wasn’t one wedding that didn’t overwhelm me with gratitude. Incredibly thankful for the opportunity to capture these moments and truly celebrate love.
This is me and my family ( a staple second shooter for us!), the main reason I’m rarely on social media and the source of so much joy and thankfulness in my life. Hockey, disc golf and getting outdoors also keep me from spending much time on this app, but I assure you that I’m more excited and creatively engaged with my wedding work rn than I have been in years. Alex & Patrick, what a day! This is how you do a Chicago wedding 🙌
One of my favorite parts was the gymnastics my brain was doing hearing the hosts of perform the ceremony. When you hear a voice often in your AirPods or on the radio then you’re randomly confronted with them in person it’s trippy and hilarious. They crushed it btw, and Alex (bride) is a producer on the pod.
