Life is good.

Three cheers to my husband and I! We made it a year married and 7 together💕
I wanted to give a shout out to the amazing team that helped us to create our deeply personal and really special wedding celebration. We decided to have a small ceremony and reception in a place that is so special to us and has been a massive part of our love- Red River Gorge. Our ceremony was attended by just our family and closest friends at the site that we camped together for the first time. Nathan build a drift wood arbor from wood we have collected over the years.. of course, our wedding flowers were 100% US grown. From our own fields, , , and - I had little to no vision for colors or florals- it because everything was so fresh and grown with so much love they came out better than I could have imagined..
As farmers and food lovers it was so important for our meal to be artistically crafted and include local foods. and absolutely nailed it. Sourcing foods from tons of local farms including our friends at .. our whole meal blew my mind- I’m still thinking about the lamb and mint sauce..
has pretty much been the only photographer we’ve felt comfortable documenting our life transitions.. as always she left us speechless and weepy with her photos.
were *the most* accommodating and easy to work with for our rentals! Cannot recommend them enough.
Nathan spent hours throwing and glazing ceramic cups for each of our guests, I hope they as they use them over the year they think about the love we have for them, and that love knits together the fabric of our lives..
So grateful to for helping us pick out some easy and delicious beer and wine.
created our custom wedding bands that have withstood our endless abuse on our hands! I love putting on my ring every day.
Big thanks to for playing our reception- we had an absolute blast.
I say all of this to remind our future clients, your wedding can truly reflect who you are and what your love is about! ✨🌀

Pulled the last of the tulips this morning! Gosh they were fun.. I ordered some really special varieties for next year.. We have a few hundred dry stored in the cooler right now to use for bouquet club, markets, and plant sale!

What day is it? No one knows- does anyone even care anyways? I’m loving this liminal space between the holidays and New Years.. I’m getting my house in order, cleaning and organizing and planning for the coming year.. this strange space has me daydreaming about all of our previous couples and the incredible weddings we worked this year! Went for my morning walk and while I love the crisp morning air, I am grieving the loss of flowers.. this season absolutely flew by for me. And to be honest, it was not a very successful flower growing year for us over here. And I let myself get so caught up in busy season that I forgot to slow down and thank my plant familiars for being around. Forgot to savor the absolutely exquisite beauty that is so abundant with even just a little tending… We nailed it for plant sale + Ranunculus season but after that we just struggled to get things in the ground in time, to keep the gardens weeded and to get ahead on our succession plantings. Despite my lack of tending that flowers just kept on growing.. the dahlias were particularly forgiving and it reminds me of the abundance and grace that nature offers to us. The earth never asks if we were good enough- when we submerge ourselves in nature, it welcomes and accepts and is grateful we are there. I do love the turning of the seasons as a reminder to get back to our roots and to remember what matters most to us.
This bouquet I made for my dear neighbor Emily a few weeks back was indeed full of local blooms thanks to and and a few blooms of our own✨

Feeling immensely guilty I haven’t shared more from this amazing day! Nicki + Tyler’s wedding was a florists dream. Not only were they amazingly kind hearted and wonderful people to work with but they were creative with their vision and colors!
Loved that we added some house plant foliage because they are both plant people, but the hanging install we did will forever be in my top faves!

I always tell my clients how important it is to do a good ceremony moment. The reception is where your guests will spend most of the day, but ceremony makes the first impression! It’s the most photographed part of the day. That’s *THE MOMENT* ! We should make it special!

So proud of my Dad, Tim, and his fantastic crew! My dad’s been in the wine business since before I was born, so safe to say he knows a thing or two. But don’t tell him i said so, it’ll go straight to his head.. Check them out, try a wine flight, get a bottle to go or snack on some charcuterie (the honey goat cheese is DIVINE). I’ve been having fun make a weekly arrangement for them and you can catch me there on Tuesday evenings!
