"Genna did a FANTASTIC job on my alterations! The dress did not originally have sleeves (pictured below). She added them and did so seamlessly! She also had a huge job of altering the dress to fit much smaller at the waist and much larger at the hips. When it was all said and done, the dress fit beautifully. She was an absolute joy to work with, and I would highly recommend her for any alterations!"

My bride was feeling a little exposed in this gown so we lined just the front of the bodice and she no longer feels like her bra is on display. Extending the lining all the way to the top of the shoulder seam but leaving the illusion panels unlined, we love how this subtle change blends perfectly.

I have some major gratitude for all of the women who I've had the pleasure to serve this year. Let me just brag on y'all for a minute. Every single one of you has been so polite and kind, so considerate and understanding, and so dang beautiful inside and out. "I cannot say enough good things about Miss Genna, the wedding gown tailor. She spent over 10 hours altering my wedding dress because the waist needed to be moved down several inches. When she was done, it looked perfect-like us was designed to be that way! I feel like I have a couture gown and my dress fits like a glove. I am going to be feeling confident and comfortable on my wedding day because of the alterations Genna did on my dress. I highly recommend her."

Talia's dress came to her much shorter in the bodice than she was expecting. Pressed for time, we could not order any matching fabric or lace, so we worked with what we had. We reshaped the skirt and extend the boning to elongate her waist and the result was a dress that sat perfectly secure on her torso. Talia was so lovely to work with throughout the entire process and it was such a joy to complete this dramatic transformation.

I am very excited to announce the restructuring of The Wedding Gown Tailor ✨

This will require some time away from sewing, so if you're getting married December 2021 through April 2022, call me now to snag one of my remaining October 2021 appointments.

Some of the big changes:

2 week appointment intervals:
Y'all, this will eliminate rush fees in many cases and allow me to serve you better than in my current 1 month system.

New larger, prettier, fitting space:
I'm super excited about this, we are set to open it sometime this October.

Prepaid booking deposits for 2022:
Your first alterations deposit will now also serve as a booking deposit and be payable within 7 days of booking your appointment. This will be deducted from your alterations bill, of course. This helps you by making sure I have the maximum availability at all times.

Please don't let anyone talk you into chopping your dress in half when shortening it from the bottom is the proper way to hem it. Yes, lace edges like this can definitely be hemmed beautifully.
