Step into the captivating history of the LaSalle Theater! Commissioned by The International Savings and Loan Company after the community growth following WWI, this Neo-Classical jewel by architect Nicola Petti was constructed in 1927 as a mixed-use structure. Originally boasting a vaudeville theater, bank, retail stores, and apartments, the LaSalle became an anchor in the East 185th corridor, serving as both a showplace and public meeting space.

Saved from demolition in 2008 through the efforts of Ward 11 Councilman Michael D. Polensek, the LaSalle was designated a Cleveland Landmark, securing its fate. Purchased by Northeast Shores Development Corporation in 2009, the restoration journey began with Phase I between 2016 and 2018. With public and private financial support, major systems were upgraded, structural repairs were made, and the iconic marquee was faithfully restored.

The LaSalle, now on the National Register of Historic Places since 2011, stands as a testament to the collaboration between the community and preservation efforts. With its unique façade and canopy marquee, this multi-disciplinary event center not only preserves the original majestic atmosphere inside but also offers a flexible rental space, ensuring a bright new future for this neighborhood icon.

In case you didn't know, the LaSalle was recently purchased by Ariel Ventures, LLC owner of Ariel International Center, Ariel Pearl Center , and Ariel Broadway Hotel . Ariel Ventures, LLC, is a 100% women-owned and minority firm founded in Cleveland in 2001, providing finance, tax, IT and business advisory services to renewable energy, real estate, small business, international business, and economic development projects.

Our rental structure remains the same, based on a full-day rental , and we, as always, are committed to providing you and your guests with a beautiful place to host your special events, from weddings to boxing matches and everything in between!
