About the Artist
"I create paintings and found-object installations inspired by real life experiences of loss and trauma. I use these images to navigate spaces and feelings existing somewhere between life and death. Unclothed bodies create a sense of vulnerability and exposure. Tightly clasped hands create tension, and longing. Repeated objects and mark making styles reflect bouts of obsessive thought patterns and repeated habits. Explore these chromatic thought-scapes and reflect on life, death, grief, and everything in between." - Allison McGovney
About The Mansion 731
The Mansion 731 is a hub for local artists and creative entrepreneurs. Inside the historic mansion are a variety of creative studios and shared spaces that inspire art as one immerses themselves in the building's rich history and detailed artistry.
This solo exhibition follows a dreamy narrative colored with grief and escapism. Celebrate the artist on opening night inside The Mansion.
