Today is my last day in business at Marc's on Main. I want to thank all of you for being customers and friends over the last twenty- two+ years. I appreciate it very much. There are lots of memories to cherish and ponder. Today Marc's on Main becomes Gnometown Grounds, with Emma Weber as owner and operator! Emma worked here as a high school student and I couldn't be happier for her to realize her dream. I wish her the best!
Marc's on Main will stop conducting business at 3:30ish this afternoon to start the transfer of business.

Caring Rose Week is next week. $10.69 plus two current food shelf items gets you a dozen roses to take home and enjoy. There is a limited supply.

75% off merchandise! Our last day in business is Tuesday!
Downtown trick or treating is tomorrow from 3:15 until 4:30 or whenever the candy runs out! It is sponsored by the Dawson Area Chamber of Commerce.
Caring Rose Week is next week, beginning Nov. 6th. Stop by and pick up a dozen roses for $10.69 and two current food shelf items or make a cash donation. The food shelf items go to the Dawson Food Shelf at Grace Lutheran Church.
Big Vendor/Craft fair next Saturday at the school gyms. Lots to see, lots to choose from. Do some Christmas shopping!

We're open at 8 this morning. The coffee is perking, the lights are on and I am ready! It's our last Saturday in business, so come on in and take a look at what we have left for merchandise at 70% off. Our last day in business is Tuesday. Then Marc's on Main fades into the sunset and Gnometown Grounds becomes a reality!

Southern Pecan flavored coffee on this bitterly cold morning should warm you up!
Marc's on Main's last day of business will be on Tuesday, Halloween Day. We will be handing out candy to all the kids who come downtown that afternoon for trick or treating from 3:15 until 4:30 or when the candy runs out!
We are open during regular hours which includes tomorrow, Saturday (8-Noon). All merchandise is 70% off, We are still honoring gift certificates!
Caring Rose Week is the week of November 6th. Emma (new owner) will be participating so stop and pick up a dozen roses for $10.00 and two food shelf items (must have current dating!).

Coffee this week will be "brewer's choice" meaning we'll be serving what remains of our coffee supply.
With the 70% discount on merchandise, you have probably figured out or heard that Marc's on Main is closing as I am retiring. Emma Weber will be buying the building to begin an exciting future in retail. Details of her venture will be announced by her soon.
At this time I don't know the exact date of my departure and her start-up date, but it will be very soon. More about that later.

Pies! ....a BIG thank you to our community and our team of workers for supporting our Ronald MacDonald House fundraiser...it was an exciting day for this event at Marcs on Main.....over $4500.00 raised...ln one day!!!!!...... to help families needing a place to stay when they were having medical help with their child....... WOWSA.......a LIZ quote " l love our small town"🤓

Southern Pecan flavored coffee today.
Well done, customers and friends!!! Our pie social yesterday to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Fargo raised $4622.00 in donations to help families have a place to stay while they have a hospitalized child. More donations will be coming in so we'll keep you posted on final donations. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thanks to all our pie bakers/donators for the pies. There were 40 pies donated. Thanks to our judges, Paul Raymo and Camey Maland. Eleven bakers chose to have their pies judged with criteria of texture/consistency of the crust, inside texture, flavor and overall impression. First place pie was French apple cranberry pecan made by Linda Estling. Second place pie was apple made by Karen Bergeson. Third place pie was Toll House chocolate with pecans made by Linda Ellefson.
Many containers of pop tops were donated by people yesterday. Thanks! If you have some, bring them in and we'll send them on to Fargo.

This just in!!! The total amount of money donated today to Ronald McDonald House Charities in Fargo stands at $4,622.00!!!! Thanks to all who donated pies for the pie social, those who donated money at the pie social, those who sent monetary donations from afar, to the judges who judged eleven pies and were generous with their time, and to my employees who worked so hard to make the pie social a success!
First place pie was by Linda Estling, a French Apple Cranberry Pecan pie.
Second place pie was by Karen Bergeson, an Apple pie.
Third place pie was by Linda Ellefson, a Toll House Chocolate with Pecans pie.
Thanks again, everyone!

Pie Social on Tuesday to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities in Fargo! Here are some of the pies that arrived from busy pie makers today: triple berry, strawberry rhubarb, apple, blueberry, Toll House chocolate with pecans, apple crumble, rhubarb, peach, Dutch apple, cherry, apple cherry, caramel apple, cranberry apple, blackberry, heral red and honeycrisp apple with caramel sauce, etc. We are getting more pies delivered early tomorrow morning.
It would be impossible for us to reserve pie for anyone tomorrow! We don't have the manpower or certain pies in quantity to pull it off. You will need to stop by or delegate someone to come and pick up pie. We cannot deliver pie anywhere. We hope you understand. Come and have pie and coffee or take it to go - $5.00 minimum donation for pie and coffee. Don't want coffee? Pie is $3.00/slice minimum donation.

The 60% discount sale continues with a little addition - all greeting cards marked more than $.99 (discounted 60%) are $1.00 with no further discount! What a great deal! Stock up on birthday, wedding, friendship, get well, thank you and anniversary cards. Sorry, all the sympathy cards are sold out. We have Confirmation and Halloween cards, plus a few pastor appreciation cards, too.
Do you like pie? Have we got news for you! We are having a pie and coffee social next Tuesday, the 17th to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Fargo. For a minimum donation of $5 you get a piece of fruit pie and a cup of coffee to enjoy here at the store or to go. Twelve pies will be judged by Paul Raymo and Janell Welling. We have lots of pie donations that the makers chose not to have judged, too! We may sell whole pies, too. It runs from 9:30 until 5 or when we run out of pie!
Japanese drummers are at Memorial Auditorium tonight at 7 as the second DB Arts Association event of the season. We'll be serving coffee!
