🤔 Did you know that everyone has a role in bullying?

A short story, a girl walking the hall smiling big because she was wearing her new favorite dress. As she passed a group of girls, one started laughing and mocked her dress. “That’s the ugliest outfit”. One girl makes another comment, 2 girls laughed with the bully and 3 girls remained silent.

Heartbroken the girl began to cry. One of the silent girls broke away to hug and console her. Another silent girl then spoke up against the bullying saying “Look what you did, how could you say that!”

The group of girls all move on with their day never taking a second thought for their actions.

Meanwhile our beautiful girl in her favorite dress spends the rest of the day, week, month, school year reflecting on how she was treated.

Which role have YOU played in bullying? Let’s be honest and recognize that kids are just kids learning how to communicate. They will make mistakes and sometimes cross a boundary.

As children they need proper role models, teachers, and friends who will put them in check and remind them how to act responsibly.
