My Story

My photography journey started back when I was a child and throughout high school, where I learned more about manual settings and different kinds of cameras, (thank you Ms. King).

Jump forward many years, I began my own photography business and named it Inventive Photography, I recently changed the name to the now Golden Moment Photography !

I started out photographing candid moments and then really started researching and teaching myself a lot more of the business and customer service, along with what MY editing style should be, I’ve always been a sucker for moody, dark styles. I learned that I’m really good at Golden hour (which is my favorite!!) and really made that my go to kinda session, including children, families, and weddings. I dabble in newborn, engagement and some events. I love getting down on my stomach or high up on a rock wall if I have to, just to get that awesome view.

Get To Know Me:

I’m in love with my bestfriend, and everyday is a blessing being and having him in my life. I can only hope one day I will take his hand in marriage ;]

I’m a mom of 5! yes 5, and 2 lil handsome bonus kiddos. We have a large blended family with a total of 9, plus our kitty Dahlila! We recently welcomed our twins, Austyn Jane & Thielen Lee into our family. We like to call ourselves The Brady Bunch Plus 1

I love being in nature, I feel my best when I’m outside in the sun or warm weather, I love Iowa, but not a fan of our cold winters, I dread them, but for some reason I’m still here ! I dream of traveling in a camper when all the children are grown, traveling the US, just us and our cat, maybe a dog or two, heck even a bird or a goat ;)

Music is amazing and is so calming and uplifting, I listen to all genres but Old Rock has a special place in my heart and soul, especially Metallica, my dad was into Rock, and raised us on Rock n’ Roll, camping and the river! The 90s rocked for sure!

I usually hear during or after the session how easy and stress free it was! I’m so simple and calm, I interact with your children to get those great shots, from dancing to racing, I throw out ideas to get those kiddos moving and feeling not so shy :)

P.S. bring treats (candies) to get those really good smiles. Heck if it works for your hubby, bribe him with candy! :)
