Since 2003 the Duxbury Beach Triathlon has been giving back across the board. We have never aligned specifically with one cause but instead gave back to several non-profits and many local organizations.
We have donated every year to the Special Olympics of Massachusetts. Their oath should also be ours. "Let me win. But if I cannot win let me be brave in the attempt".

44 days until the Duxbury Beach Triathlon. Register by going directly to Active.com and search Duxbury Beach triathlon or click the link below. There's plenty of time to train and be ready to go but don't get shut out, we anticipate a full field of well over 600! Be like Chuck (Foreman of the Minnesota Vikings) and show us your best moves on September 18 at 10am then join the party afterwards like you just won the Superbowl!

51 days until the 20th Anniversary of the Duxbury Beach Triathlon. Ironically, the 51 day forecast has the exact same weather on tap as today . Did you know that #51 is considered good luck in regards to the Tour de France?

Registrations were strong on the first day. If you have not heard, this year will be the final year of the triathlon. We hope you are training well and looking for a late season race or maybe your first race of the season. We're working on a great day for everyone and hope you will be in Duxbury for the final tri! The Duxbury Beach Triathlon will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year and we intend to do it in style. September really is the best month of the year to race, not too hot, not too cool. 72 days until the 2021 Duxbury Beach Triathlon. This is our 20th anniversary. Many people to thank and in upcoming posts we will do so. First and foremost is the incredible support from the town, the folks from Duxbury who have embraced this event from the start. And to all the athletes who have competed over the years.
Final details being worked out in the very near future and we will let you know when registration will begin. Thanks for your patience with us. More "thank you's" to be posted soon and a few memories tossed in.

The Duxbury DPW crew is out cleaning the streets today and we should be reminded that they do this for the Duxbury Beach Triathlon the week of the race, usually 1-2 prior to race day so that the course is as clean and safe as possible. Thanks again DuxDPW and driver Ron Brown.

As we celebrate Women's History Month in March, we're going to spotlight an elite group of women who have made a huge impact on endurance sports and triathlon: the 19 women who belong to the very select club of Ironman World Champions.
Starting things off - appropriately - with the groundbreaker: Lyn Lemaire.
In 1978, there were 15 starters and 12 finishers on the island of Oahu for the first Ironman. In 1979 the numbers were exactly the same with one important difference. In 1979, the first woman, Lyn Lemaire, went to the starting line. She not only was the first woman to complete and win the race, she also had the second-fastest bike ride of the day and finished fifth overall.

To all past and future Duxbury Beach Triathlete's,

As of this writing, February 22, we do not know if the 2021 Duxbury Beach Triathlon will take place. We have requested that the date of Saturday, September 18 be secured in the likelihood we can in fact host the triathlon. State and local officials will determine at a later date whether we can hold this event. We are optimistic that the health crisis COVID19 will be dissipating and nearly non-existent in the near future.

Should circumstances regarding the pandemic improve into the spring as anticipated and holding a triathlon in September looks promising, we will then consider opening registration as quickly as possible. We will also clearly and with total transparency provide our refund and cancellation policy.

With that, we would consider it incredibly irresponsible and even blatantly greedy for us (or any RD) to be accepting entries into an event that isn't at least 90% likely to take place, especially after what ALL RD's endured in 2020.

For now, be safe, train positively and we hope to see YOU on September 18 in Duxbury!
