On September 12, Goodwin Nursing Alumni spanning decades of grad years gathered for a celebration with Jan Watts. It was a beautiful evening celebrating the incredible accomplishments of Goodwin's many, many nursing grads! For some, it was their first time at Goodwin's new beautiful campus!
During the event, funds were raised for the Future Nurses Scholarship Fund. If you were unable to attend and would still like to contribute, you can do so anytime here (be sure to select "Future Nurses Scholarship Fund" under the 'Funds' tab): https://www.goodwin.edu/foundation/annual-giving
On September 12, Goodwin University’s Nursing Alumni Association gathered at the East Hartford campus to honor Jan Watts, retired longtime director of the school’s nursing program. The graduates learned about Goodwin’s plans to create an enhanced, state-of-the art simulation lab in which nursing students will hone their diagnostic and patient care skills.
The University is also inaugurating a mentorship program for alumni to offer guidance and support to current students. Goodwin President Mark Scheinberg welcomes Jan upon her arrival at the event as Guy LaBella, Director of University Relations, Maria Auriemma, 2006 nursing graduate, and Melissa Tremblay, Grants and Foundation Associate, look on.
