Science in real life! I was pointing out a starfish to Xavi and I heard her screaming. I assumed she had touched the dreaded fire coral and turned to see her pointing and yelling MANATEE through her bubbles. This was definitely on our highlights of our trip and was a great connection to last year’s marine animal study. Even Enzlie did a fabulous job independently snorkeling and free diving 🐠 🐟 🪸 🤿

Took my homeschoolers on a trip to Belize and Guatemala this week! Here’s the ultimate hands on homeschool history lesson, learning all about the ancient Mayans at Tikal! Such an amazing experience.

Easy screenless summer fun idea! Crazy Aaron Enterprises has the best products!

This weekend we decided to start June off with Crazy Aarons Thinking Putty and a pool party. ☀️ We always love playing with thinking putty because it’s so much less messy than slime but just as fun! They have so many different colors and weird scents. Plus it can bounce! My girls can pull out thinking putty and are easily entertained for an hour every time. This group played for hours this weekend!

And most importantly the best part of crazy Aaron’s products 💜 - no mess!!! it’s not in their hair like slime 😖 and also not all over my floor like playdough or magic sand. We used trays since we were outside but my girls do play with it on our counter and wooden table.

We got to try out their new buttery slime that is cloud dough which was definitely a hit. They liked it the best and it came with themed mix ins! They have a regular slime too but they preferred regular thinking putty and buttery slime the best.

My little tinker 🌟 she will create and invent everything. She made me a stuffie of herself so I can cuddle anytime and then made a toy grill so she can grill next to her dad.

Does anyone else have a tinker? What do they like to create?

Today we tried out two new toys from Luki Labs! They included a coupon code for everyone too!

Run Beaver Run- this one was our favorite and got lots of giggles as the log grabbed the beavers! The beavers are magnetic and get caught by the randomly placed magnets on the log that is released depending on what you roll. It is good for the younger 4-8 age kids to play independently. It is also fun for big siblings to play with their younger siblings and more fun than multiple rounds of candy land! Definitely recommend this one for 4-6 yr old kids! The log stores as the handle in the kit and all the pieces fit in the sturdy plastic box.

Go Go Ghost- this one has an electronic ghost that sporadically roams the board as you try to catch ghosts and make it to the exit without getting knocked down by the ghost. It is rechargeable but will need to be charged before every game because it doesn’t last too long. It was a little easy and quick but they still did enjoy it.

I’m way behind in posting recent party photos but the last couple months have been so many things back to back! Della and I are headed to CA to explore all over to celebrate that she turned 10 this year. Since we homeschool, the girls are always together so this one on one time for the 10th bday became our tradition!

We are looking forward to seeing LA today!

We got to throw a game night thanks to Ravensburger Games and Tryazon! The girls tried out a few new games. My girls and their friends are game obsessed right now so it was as fun to try out a few new ones. 🃏

Piñata Blast is a perfect game for all ages to play because the rules are simple and each game is quick enough to fit in a few rounds for lots of laughs! The girls all ended up super competitive to grab the dice as quickly as they could to beat out each other. This was definitely our favorite for game night! This game worked for all ages 4+ since it didn’t require reading/math and adults enjoyed it too!

That’s not your hat is a tricky memory game for big kids in disguise and we got mixed up quickly!! It seemed easy at first until a few cards in and we couldn’t remember what was where! Also a pretty good game for a different ages and adults.

Level 8 was a little trickier and was better for the older kids since it required a little more strategy. You have to make combinations and work through all the levels. It was fun and takes a little bit longer to play so it works better when you want to focus on one game for a bit rather than playing a quick round.

XY&Z’s new math curriculum! Learning through play, coloring and games
