Spring 2024 is complete! That went fast! We worked with so many amazing couples and vendors over the last few months. Couldn’t have done it without the most amazing team!
We have just a few events in July and August. So looking forward to soaking up the summer!

I love a beach ceremony. You don’t need to add much because you have the most gorgeous view. Wind can also be a factor to consider. These simple ground arrangements make the perfect ceremony backdrop.

A Day in the Life of a Full Time Florist/ Stay At Home Mom at the start of busy season.
No matter how busy I get, if the sun is out, we are going to our beach! So lucky to live this life.
Thanks to @baytobeltwayrealtorjen for hosting a May Day Happy Hour at @metropolitanannapolis and asking me to make some arrangements!

Sweetheart Tables don’t have to be elaborate to make a statement! While these ground arrangements may make it look elaborate, they are really just repurposed from your ceremony! They could have been aisle makers or part of your ground arch that we as florists just moved as soon as your ceremony was over.
Pair with a few candles and bud vases and you have yourself a gorgeous Sweetheart Table that won’t break the bank.
Make sure you save this reel so you don’t forget!

The perfect spring Sunday!
We had a small drop off order for a Celebration of Life at @londontownweddings. Our client said her mother loved gardening and specifically purple tulips, so it was an honor to create these flower meadow centerpieces for her. It’s always humbling when you’re asked to provide florals for someone’s end of life celebration. They are all a small thing, but I always hope the arrangements reflect the beautiful life they lived and make their loved ones smile!
It’s not lost on me how lucky I am that I’m able to go to work (sometimes at this venue that’s 5 minutes away), and then come home to spend the day with my family at our neighborhood beach. Thank you to every past and current client who’s allowed me to live this life!

Make a meadow style centerpiece with me!
I really don’t know if this is the official name for this kind of arrangement, but I refer to it as meadow style!
•Start with your design bowl tray.
•Add your chicken wire and secure with tape.
•Add water!
•Start laying down your sheet moss as the base.
•Add your greenery so that it punctures through the moss and into your chicken wire. This will allow the moss to stay in place and serve as additional support for your flowers.
•Start adding those blooms!
Florist friends- feel free to share how you make meadows in the comments. I’m always looking for new methods that may be more effective!
PS- how cute is my assistant?!?

Results are in! We were able to gift 8/10 centerpieces to guests the next morning, so I’d say that’s a win!
Here’s what I will do differently next time:
•Once we unload at the venue I would take the bowl out of its vase.
•Naturally when transporting flowers water will spill, so I would quickly dump the spilled water out of the vase. The recyclable bowl will most likely be wet on the outside from the spill, so that’s when I would add the second bowl.
•Carefully add more water to the arrangement if needed to keep those flowers hydrated.
So thankful for this flower community that shares so much knowledge. I hope these videos are helpful!

Testing out a new technique in order to let guests take centerpieces home at the end of the night, without them stealing my vases! 95% of our weddings include vase rentals, so this allows guests to take home the full arrangement without the flowers being all willy nilly!
Thanks for the inspiration @thefarmerandi and @emmalinerosefloral
And as always…sorry for my awkwardness on camera 😅

Now I know why my husband asks “are you okay” when he sees me focusing on work. Sorry to everyone who’s ever come across my “RBF.” I’m not mad, I promise!
Side note, after seeing @coneflowerdesigns video using this rose stripper to process flowers I bought one of these bad boys for myself and it’s life changing.

What’s it like being a stay at home mom/ florist?
The best. Do I have a little shadow trying to help all of the time which is actually a little (very) unhelpful? Yes. But I wouldn’t change it!
Not captured on video, Rosie saying “cheese flowers!”
