I am Katie and I am the proprietor and head designer of KT Rush Floral Design also known as KT Blooms Floral Studio!!! Our goal is to create elegant, one-of-a-kind designs specifically tailored to our clients' needs. We strive for perfection in all aspects of our business. f our floral work focuses on the simplistic beauty of the flowers we use with great attention to detail. ~*~*~ I grew up surrounded by flowers and gardens; My mother is a floral designer with 35 years of experience. I inherited her passion and talents and I have been involved in working with and learning from her for over 20 years. ~ I decided to expand upon my design experience and take my love of flowers to another level. I received more formal training at Kishwaukee College in Northern Illinois where I gained an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Horticulture and Floral Design. I studied botany, landscape design, tree and flower identification, and of course floral design. I also participated in student competitions while attending; such as the SAIFD in San Francisco. ~ Following that, I worked in the industry for about 12 years, including managing a busy shop in Milwaukee and coordinating and designing their weddings and events. I have had the honor to share my knowledge of the art and science of floral design by teaching courses at Milwaukee School of Flower Design. ~ All this time, I have also worked seasonally at other flower shops as well as coordinated flowers for weddings working side-by-side with my mother. ~ As of now, however, I opened up a storefront at Friends on the Square in Elkhorn Wi . I specialize in weddings and events all over Southeast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. I deliver everyday orders, funerals, and always have fresh arrangements and hand tied bouquets ready for purchase every day.
