Our Magnolia Grove is the perfect spot for your summer ceremony! Four beautiful, mature magnolia trees provide plenty of shade for any size guest list. On This Day: Twelve years ago today, Howard County Recreation and Parks purchased the property now known as Belmont Manor & Historic Park on June 21, 2012. The department restored the Manor that sits on 68 scenic acres. Belmont’s property includes the Manor House, cottage, Carriage House, caretaker’s house, barn, aqua garden, formal gardens, and historic cemetery. This unique estate is the perfect setting for outdoor weddings, business meetings, conferences, corporate retreats, and special events! The honeybees are busy this time of year in our gardens at Belmont Manor! These local insects are hard at work all summer collecting pollen and nectar to make honey for their hive. In their travels, honeybees also pollinate the flowers they visit. In these photos, the honeybees are harvesting nectar from our Salvia plants and peonies!

Belmont’s peonies are in full bloom! Here are some of our garden’s many peony cultivars. The vibrant flowers bloom from May through early June and attract local pollinators like honey bees, butterflies, and beetles. Belmont Manor is proud to be listed with The American Peony Society.
