It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our friend, Doreen Irwin, June 19th. The ranch will never be the same without her. Please leave us your memories with her, memories of the Ranch and photos.

Shandoni Ranch was opened in 1975 by Doreen and her family where she currently boards, puts on horse shows, and raises and trains horses. Over many years, Doreen has given lessons to hundreds of riding students, many who have become professional trainers and judges. A lifelong dedicated horsewoman, Doreen Irwin trained and sold many horses for many owners. She has also bred and developed numerous young horses (TB/Warmbloods) to become lovely show horses consistently winning in pleasure, hunters and jumpers in local and rated shows. Shandoni Ranch has been a lovely and comfortable horse show facility since the “80’s ... hosting Hunter/Jumper and Western Shows. Many young people started their riding careers at Shandoni Ranch. Presently, the facility hosts five SAHJA Hunter/Jumper shows during the summer season.
