We are a full time photography service offering event and studio portraits. I prefer the other side of the lens. That being said, writing an “About Me” is a struggle. What I can do is share a little bit about my passion for what I do and how it came to be. Becoming a professional wedding photographer was never a choice. Photography chose me. My passion for photography began when I was young. Looki

ng at my own family photographs would remind me of a time that I wanted to go back to. It also made me realize how important it is to capture these moments. I was once told “Photography is Art with Light”. In a technical sense I suppose that
is true. However, I believe photography is much more. Photography is capturing the emotion and detail of life’s special occasions. Knowing both the technical aspects of taking a photo combined with it's importance makes a great photographer. My knowledge and experience in photography and lighting combined with my easy going personality, integrity and sensitivity has given me the ability to work with couples and naturally capture images unlike any other photographer. I feel fortunate to be able to work with so many unique couples and to be able to
capture their most important moments. I am the owner of Smashing Photos, LLC offering Professional Photography Services and, a unique photo booth experience. Through my partnership with Music Machine Entertainment we have created . All services are available individually or can be packaged for your specific needs; Photography, DJ, Photo Booth, Uplighting, Justice of the Peace, Monogram, Flip Books and more!

Yesterday, I photographed a wedding where the bride and groom had a decorator set up a staging area with a love seat, two accent chairs, and drapery and decor behind them. They invited each family to the staging area for a formal photo with the couple. After the formal photos, it became a hangout area for everyone to use. This setup was quite different from what I am accustomed to, but I found it rather delightful. The bride and groom were able to comfortably sit on their small sofa, interact with everyone, and have a group photo taken with all guests. The best part is I was also able to take candid photos in between families.

What do you think about this idea? Meh or yeah?

Every detail perfectly planned. Typically the bride thinks about all the details big and small and the groom thinks about the bride walking down the aisle. Kayla is beautiful everyday but I don’t think even the Ryan could even imagine how beautiful and elegant Kayla would look on her wedding day. She took our breath away.

6 more days of vacation but I had to share! Everyone knows I love a good sunset but Costa Rica sunsets are on another level! We are 10 degrees north of the equator. When the sunsets at home we have about ten mins give or take to capture all the beautiful colors but here in Costa Rica the sun lights up the sky for almost an hour! The sky was on fire today and I wished all of you were here to enjoy it with me!
