Dairy Goat Tag-In Clarification:
After speaking with Sam Lowry, the State 4-H Agent of Agriculture and Natural Resources, it has been clarified that this year dairy goats shown by Nov, Jr, or Sr enrolled 4-H youth, will receive 840 tags. These tags do not have to go in the animal's ear, they can be placed in the ear or neck collar of the animal in which they are assigned.

Please note that tagging and tattoo rules do not cover any booster classes a local fair may have. Booster classes for livestock are not associated with the 4-H program. Animals that are to be shown in a booster class should NOT have the 4-H tattoo in their ear unless that animal belongs to an older sibling that is enrolled in 4-H and is a Nov, Jr, or Sr. Rules for booster shows should come from the local fair board.
