We had a little bit of a bee problem in one of the basement walls this year but C’s Bees came through and fixed us right up! Removed them to relocate and even blessed us with a jar of local honey from his farm 🐝🍯 5 star would recommend!

Our bellies are full, our sweatpants are stretched, and we’re tired. Another Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving down at Syc House! Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared a laugh, and ate a plate with us. I cannot believe this year is almost over already. Next up, Christmas!

Last year we had some complaints about people not knowing when our Friendsgiving is so here y’all go! As usual, please bring something to eat or drink to share. We don’t care if it’s leftovers! We’re cooking up a storm tonight so leftovers are kind of our thing 😉 We’ve decided to make this year a no kiddos Friendsgiving, 21+ only please! See y’all tomorrow!

We’re doing some painting downstairs to give the basement a lil refresher! Made sure to get some pictures before covering it up though ❤️ We plan to keep some of the original graffitied walls for nostalgia but this wall needed to go. Ol’ Big Red smelled like beer so we gave him a bath too 😅

Since basement is still getting cleaned up we’ve got Porcelain Hill booked at Kingfish this Saturday for a FREE show! You can catch them on the stage around 11pm after the opener. Come, stay, stick around for both bands! Porcelain Hill, will rock yalls night. TRUST ME. “Porcelain Hill is a high energy, Rock and Roll band that perfectly blends blues, soul, funk, and punk. A post on Facebook the other day reminded me that I still have a lot of my past hanging on the walls and some furniture covered in it. I miss traveling for hardcore shows and festivals. Sneaking off to Little Rock, Tulsa, or Joplin on school nights with . A lot simpler times. Can’t wait to get on a cruise ship in November and relive some of that!

GET EXCITED! It doesn’t look like much right now but I’m working on getting the basement cleaned up and opening a flea market booth so we can resume events! We’ll have all sorts of items from new to used to handmade to plants! Items for all ages and all walks of life! We will be located in “Pirates Cove” (Fayetteville/Springdale) which is now the largest flea market in Arkansas! 🤩🛍✨

has a room open again and real soon! April 1st! Rent ($400) is due by the 1st of the month and bills ($125) by the 15th which includes water, trash/recycling pick up, electric, gas, and high speed internet. $100 refundable deposit if nothing is broken when you move out and give 30 days notice. Pictures below (the first picture is a 360 picture so click to scroll around the room!) plus some of the house and yard. The room will come with no furniture. No pets. No kids. You will have access to many of the houses amenities such as the pool table, darts, ping-pong table, reading corner/nook, large back yard with volleyball net, fire pit, trees to hang hammocks, beautiful back deck with a view, etc. The house is 3,300+ sq feet, 2 story, fireplace, washer and dryer. The Syc House needs your help! I hate even writing/asking this but we are in a tight spot with a certain roommate bailing on us at the beginning of this month with 0 notice. I paid his bills last month, the rent and bills this month for the room (since we didn't have any notice to find a new roommate for January) plus he owed us for other things. Aside from that situation we are also wanting to "revamp" The Syc House a little bit before "reopening". After 9 years of free shows we have multiple holes in the walls, doors and locks to fix, etc maintenance work to do. If you've ever attended an event or show in the basement of The Syc House please help us out by donating to one of the links/apps below. Even just $1 helps! If you've never been to The Syc House but enjoy the free services I offer via What's Up, Fayetteville? or Ask NWA then feel free to donate to one of those services as well. It takes hours every day and effort running those groups and anything is appreciated.

We lost a dear friend to The Syc House recently and decided to repot some plants and dedicate a new one to her. You always told us how safe you felt at and that's a special thing to us. We love you, Hannah!

My birthday show at Maxine's Tap Room with The Opera Bell Band was such a hit! I wish I could fit everyone in these pictures! I was such a stressful mess before this show, it felt really great to show up and see so many people and friends come out. Y’all make a gal feel special! Especially Dillian Davis for being such a trooper and dressing/putting up with me 🥰🤡🎪🎶🎉
