We are looking forward to a restful weekend this weekend… after a busy Mother’s Day and a two wedding weekend last weekend we think we deserve one… the shop will be closing this afternoon and remain closed until Tuesday of next week… we hope all our friends and family understand!!

Due to an influx of order for the holiday and serving several families during the loss of a loved one we are no longer taking orders for fresh flower orders… we do however have many hanging baskets and plants ready for delivery… thank you all who ordered early and made this Mother’s Day one to remember… always remember to order early during holidays to insure you are covered!!! We are so excited and completely humbled to announce we have been Voted Best of Johnston County!!! What an honor and blessing… there has been many long days and nights on this journey but it’s been worth it all!!!

Shane Smith had been working with flowers since his freshman year in high school, over 20 years ago. The floral business just kind of fell into his hands. After
graduating and going to work for an accountant in Benson his boss one day came to him and asked him to look at a paper. He stopped his work and noticed the paper was a listing for a floral business in Four Oaks.

In August 2010, he decided to buy the business and The Vine and Branch began. Shane works with his
designer, Summer Goodman. They are a full service florist and will help with any occasion. Shane runs a small shop with a BIG heart.

Their hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday from 9am-4pm and Wednesday from 9am-1pm. Stop by and check out all they have to offer.

Hey friends… we are so excited for our annual open house tomorrow night!!! We have lots of merchandise to sale… loads of stems, picks, garlands, wreaths, and lots more… and all of it still hasn’t arrived so we will be getting new things all season!!! join us tomorrow night from 5 to 8 pm! The showroom will be closed until 4 pm to ensure that everything is perfect… so no peeking!!! See y’all then… and I have it on record from Mrs. Claus herself that Santa is heading over tomorrow evening too!!!

Ava Gardner’s dear friend and former personal assistant Carmen Vargas sent several bundles of yellow roses, Ava’s favorite flower, to the Museum for our festival weekend. Shane Smith of The Vine & Branch florist in Four Oaks, NC processed the roses on our behalf and created several stunning arrangements for the festival - including an urn bouquet filled with 100 roses to commemorate Ava’s 100th birthday and a hand-tied bouquet for Ava’s gravesite.

Hey guys and gals… the show room will be closed today… Shane has the flu and Summer is also under the weather… if you placed orders for today no worries they will be made, sanitized and contacted for delivery or pickup!!! Small businesses do not get a break even when we are sick… we just alter the sails continue to sail!!! We have closed to showroom to help lesson the chance of exposure!!! The flu is rampant this season… be careful and stay healthy everyone!!!

Reminder this is the last week to order prom florals for the South and West Johnston proms on 4/29… these are our two largest proms and we also have two weddings scheduled next Saturday… one in Benson the other in Warsaw… two great schools and two beautiful brides and awesome venues!!!
