A brief History

Aj Showell (aka Dj MellowBlendz) is Vj ,Dj , & Audio Tech based out of Gainesville , Fl. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of music (Chaka Khan, Morris Day , Planet Patrol) synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both hip-hop and video game music, Mellow ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Known for his versatility in open format deejaying, DJ mellow has made a name for himself in the greater north central florida area. A very active member of his local community, Mellow is no stranger to the music scene , playing a wide variety of events all over Gainesville , ranging from small bars and clubs to festivals and concerts. More recently he has transitioned to the private event industry working with several local businesses.
