As we are looking back on our favorite picnics on this day - THE day of love - this Father/Daughter Valentine’s picnic at @miniacresfarmnc is a sentimental favorite.
For you see, even though Im a hopeless romantic, I don’t seem to choose that trait in s partner. No shade intended (maybe a little shade).
So my favorite Valentine memories come from my stepdad. He always remembered Valentine’s Day, and not just for my mom, for me as well. And when my daughter was born, he included her too. A year never passed where he didn’t at least send a single rose.

We didn’t let a little clouds stop this sweet Daddy/Daughter Valentine’s Picnic. Nope, the only drizzle in our bubble tent was the chocolate kind. 😊 When our little picnicker arrived @miniacresfarmnc she went right to visit the goat 🐐 and donkeys 🫏 🫏. I mean who can resist their cuteness?
We had chocolate covered strawberries 🍓 🍓 and Oreos and a little heart 💜 ganache cake from @nanaslilsweets with fresh cold milk 🥛 from @ncstatehowlingcow to wash it down.
We see to all the details with @barbie to play with and themed coloring pages and crayons.

We took the plunge! Since my teammate couldn’t make it, I joined the Ice Cold CLASY Crew so this Ice Hole didnt have to jump alone! We raised $100 for the Soecial Olympics! And YES! The water was REALLY cold! So cold it took your breath away so you couldnt scream! 😂

1930’s Waterfall Vanity that once belonged to my ex-husband’s grandmother. His family didn’t want it and we saw PINK potential and she got THE WORKS. You have to see her to believe her. She was custom-made to be Barbie Glam. She’s collected a few dings over the years, but it just adds to her character. Soft pink with gold leafing and beautiful dovetailed wooden drawers we couldn’t bear to touch. So they’ve been refinished with wood oil to bring out their natural luster. The perfect room addition for princesses of all ages.
Although we hate to let her go, we really can’t keep her. For sale: $450. Includes mirror and bench.
