Lately my phone has exploded with texts, calls and video messages from my friends who are also moms. They are burnt out, beyond tired, and not sure if they’re gonna make it to the finish line of the first day of school. I’m right there with them, and I’m guessing you are, too.

Anyone who knows me well knows I prefer experiences over gifts - hands down. I believe memories are worth paying for, and have never regretted any of them.

I’ve never been to a Luxury Picnic - until Coral and I set it up and experienced it ourselves last night. Let me tell you. It was special. If we’d actually brought food and a game or some paint, we could’ve easily spent hours out there laughing and talking. I am so excited to start offering these! (And I offer games and paint!) Just wrapping up some final details and possible local collaborations, and I’ll be offering a *giveaway* and the official package soooooon. 👀

We hired a new employee. This is Danny Sizzles, aka D. Sizzles, The Sizzler, D-Man, Dan the Man. So far, he’s definitely on trial. He shows up SUPER early to work, isn’t quite sure how bathroom breaks work, and likes to steal lunches from the break room. But, he’s enthusiastic. Sooo…. We’ll see. This week he’s going to help with his first Luxury Picnic package setup. Stand by…. 🔥🔥🔥

Believe me, if you have someone in mind who would benefit from this package, I WILL show up for your person on a consistent and reliable basis with enthusiasm and compassion. There was a point in my own life when I would’ve (and tried to) hire someone to fill in the gaps for my own loved one. Please share if you know someone who needs this. This is not limited to seniors and can apply to any other vulnerable citizen in unique situations.

Yesterday, I got to spend a whole day out with my mom working on a new package! We shopped till we dropped at Home Goods and had to squish Mom into the passenger seat! 😆 She was a huge help and had a lot of great input on design.

Soooo….. the Romantic Luxury Picnic package will be available mid June. We’re going to do a test run for a lucky couple soon, and then we’re ready to book! More news on other available packages coming soon!

Recently I finished a book by the CEO of It Cosmetics, called, Believe It. The author insisted that as entrepreneurs, we should NOT change what we're doing because someone else in the same field is doing something differently and drawing more success than we are. She said you need to stick with your own secret sauce because that's what makes your brand special. It got me to thinking....what is MY secret sauce?

I started this business and gave it this name because it's a representation of who I am and what I'm put here to do - which is to love people. I want to help you when you're really going through it (whatever "it" is), and I want to plan your trip or event when the moment calls for something extra special. There is nothing more satisfying to me than knowing I was able to make another human being feel significant, safe and celebrated.

This past week, my kids and I flew to California to join other friends and family for my late husband's destination celebration of life. I planned the entire week and ceremony for a group of people - the venue, transportation, accommodations, excursions, meals, music, favor bags, the eulogy, flowers, etc, and it was MAJESTIC. It wasn't majestic because it was perfect, or expensive, or without a hiccup. There were several things that didn't go as I planned - at ALL. But here's the thing. No one noticed. Why? Because....based on the feedback I got during and following the event - my guests left feeling absolutely loved, appreciated, wanted, and worn out from fun. And I realized....my Comfort & Joy Concierge "secret sauce" is that my love for other people spills over into all my work. I think of every detail, every personal touch, and anticipate as many needs as I can think of ahead of time, because I want you to feel loved and appreciated. I am always SO THRILLED when someone hires me to either help them with something or plan their special day that I make damn sure my work is proof of how much I appreciate you putting your trust in me. You are NOT a number or a job - you are significant to me, and I will always show you that.
