Trying to fit in all the summer things…our Door County trip is always special family time. 🍒⛵️🌊🍦 We also got to celebrate the long life of Uncle Bud, my grandma’s brother, who passed away this year at 95, and laid him to rest with all the Larson ancestors at Little Sister. ♥️🪦

Could have used a couple more days in Portovenere, Cinque Terre (Monterosso) & Portofino, but we definitely fit in as much eating, shopping & exploring as possible. 🍋🚤⛱️

Celebrating B’s graduation with a girls trip with my MIL to Europe…First stop was a few days in Barcelona 🇪🇸 before our cruise. My Spanish definitely came in handy more than a few times and it’s good to know I still had it. 💃 (Thanks mom & dad for my degree in Foreign Language…putting it to good use!)
A few highlights in Barcelona:
•Our hotel is my new favorite place I’ve ever stayed…the location, the service, the amenities were out of this world. It was once a private residence and has rooftop pool & restaurant (that turned into a club late-night)/yoga session in la biblioteca 🧘🏼‍♀️📚/breakfast buffet with the freshest orange juice I’ve ever tried/cozy rooms/fitness center/friendliest staff ever
•An on/off-double-decker bus tour is always the best way to see any city…Sagrada Familia, FC Barç, different neighborhoods, cathedrals, etc.
•Fun shopping down narrow streets/La Rambla/largest H&M in Europe/cute cafés & restaurants around the Cátedral de Barcelona & Placa de Catalunya
Overall, the people were super friendly and welcoming and we had the best visit. We did not see one protest or riot as they are reporting in the news 🙄 .carrell

Checked off a professional bucket list item this past weekend…Shooting in the Mountains ✅ ⛰️🏞️💍 So honored to be asked to capture this beautiful moment for Aly + Kyle. I shot Kyle’s senior pics a few years ago as part of the four Mickelsen kids era that ended with his brother Kollin that I posted a couple weeks ago. Kyle surprised Aly at their special place, Breckenridge, with a proposal and had their families (and pup named “Breck”!!) there to join them in the celebration. Aly and her family are the sweetest and it was so great to meet them ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you for having me!! (And thank you to & ._smith for their behind the scenes magic!! ✨🍾)

A strawberry themed baby shower! Could not have loved this more! 🍓🍓🍓👶🏼 Congrats to Lucia + Marvin on their baby girl on the way. You may remember them from their wedding in 2021 at (peep the last pic for a then & now 😉) They are also the sister & brother in law to Victoria + Angel whose baby shower I featured last month. And their mom is the owner of on 3rd Street in Geneva and I love this family so much. Thank you for letting me capture all these milestones!! 🍓♥️

I’ve watched Elizabeth grow up in front of my camera. Her mom & I delivered our first borns (her & Brynn) only three days apart and her dad was one of Chad’s college roommates. I don’t consider myself much of a sports photographer, but I jumped at the chance to shoot with these seniors. I loved getting to know them and had so many laughs with all these funny personalities. The Geneva Boys Lacrosse team won their conference and are going strong into playoffs. The Girls Lacrosse team had a winning season and the seniors are sad to be done. The Girls Soccer team just won their regional. Good luck to all! You make Geneva proud!! 🇺🇸🤍💙 🥍 🥍 ⚽️

Adding a personal touch to your big day anywhere you can, will make your wedding just that much more special. Alexa + Ben’s wedding weekend was filled with so many personal additions from beginning to end, it is impossible to mention them all. A couple of my favorites…

The venue was a place where many memories have been made at Alexa’s parents’ place at

Ben’s sister designed their invites and paper details for them and she is launching a new business venture with her talents. Go check her out!

Alexa incorporated lace from her mom’s wedding dress into the design of her bouquet for her “something old”.

Alexa added a little pizazz to her dad’s neck tie with an adorable pic of the two of them from when she was a little girl.

The couple chose to share their vows they had written to each other privately after their first look and before their ceremony.

Ben was wearing a very special watch that had belonged to his grandpa. He was the general manger of the Chicago Bears when the Bears won the ‘85 Super Bowl and this was the matching watch he bought with his good buddy to celebrate the win.

They had their initials and wedding date sewn into the collar of Ben’s jackets he wore that weekend.

They were able to include both of their faiths and heritage in their ceremony by having the Rogers’ family pastor travel down to perform the ceremony as well as celebrating the signing and reading of the Kattubah with Alexa’s grandmother.

Cocktail hour would not have been complete without their favorite cocktails…espresso martini and an Aperol Spritz 🍊

A late night snack of Papa’s pancakes? 🥞 yes please! His papa used to prepare pancakes for all the cousins up at their lakehouse in

And finally, they shocked the crowd when they made another fun entrance in an adorable outfit change so they could cut a rug with their friends & families until late night 💃🕺🏻🪩
