Yesterday we had the honor of capturing the most amazing love story for our dear friends who are more like family! We’ve watched these two from the very beginning, I remember Justin coming into Whiskey Sowers right before Corri’s shift and asking when she would be in. Many times yesterday tears filled my eyes reflecting on the years and just being so full of joy for the three of them. We love you guys, you had the best Friday the 13th wedding, and we wish you three a lifetime of happiness! Enjoy this teaser, and have a blast on the honeymoon!!! I just can’t contain my excitement….I’m about to have another precious niece!!! My sister in law will be giving birth to little miss Oaklyn Mae any day now….y’all I wished I looked this good when I was about to have a baby!! GLOWING 😍 Kayla & Quinton, I can’t wait to see you two as parents…knowing how loving and patient you both are with your niece and nephews let’s me know you’ll be the best parents ever! ❤️

Brock & Kat tied the knot yesterday, and it was the most perfect day! We've been working with them for the last year, and we were so excited for this wedding!! Every single detail was stunning, and Kat honored her grandmothers in the most amazing ways. It was our honor to be there to capture their special day, and meet their wonderful tribe of people. I woke up this morning with a broken heart for all those parents not rushing around getting their child ready for school, for those parents not calling out their child’s name for the 10th time trying to wake them up, for those parents not rushing around the kitchen trying to cook breakfast and pack lunches. My heart is broken for those parents in Uvalde, Texas 💔😢 hugging our children a little tighter today 🥺

We’ve known Cheyenne for years, one night we saw her and she was GLOWING. When I asked her how she had been, she went on and on about this man she had started dating! She said he was absolutely everything she had ever wanted and more. Then she asked us to capture her big day, and we were ecstatic!
Yesterday was PERFECT! We are so happy for Mex and Cheyenne, and can’t wait to watch this family grow.

I can’t begin to tell you how excited we are for the warmer weather!!! It’s officially that time of year where we can get out barefoot in the rain and play! Fun fact about me (Jessica) I love being barefoot but it gives me crippling anxiety to have dirt or anything on my feet, even sand! I just can’t stand it and it makes my teeth hurt. Lol Anyone else deal with this??? If you do, how do you cope with wearing flip flops??? 😂

I was sitting down at my computer this morning with coffee in hand, and I thought today seemed like a day I should remember. I’m not a morning person, and let’s face it, before I have my two cups of coffee in the morning everything is a little hazy. I opened the calendar and remembered that today I celebrate 13 years in this industry! Has it been an easy 13 years? No, I’ve fought through the slow times, through the hard times, continued my education, worked other jobs, raised children, and went through a couple of re-structuring and re-branding times. However, today is a day that I celebrate because over the past couple of years my business is finally at a place that I’m so proud of, and I couldn’t have done that without my family, friends and amazing clients! I thought I would post a little about myself and this journey since I haven’t done that.
I’m Jessica, photographer, and co-founder of CCP. I’m also a mother of four beautiful children, and the wife of Ryan (the man behind the films)! Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. I remember having a purple 35mm with a flip up viewfinder and pretending I was some famous photographer with National Geographic. It’s a true story!! I would take pictures of the trees, flowers, my grandmothers bird houses. And one time I went on the road with my grandparents, and mastered the art of taking tack sharp images going 80mph through the desert, and timing them perfectly so they were framed with the side window of the truck. That’s the time I used a whole roll of film on one single stretch of highway when I was 9 or 10 years old, lol.
My grandmother worked for the UNC Medical Illustrations department, and I remember spending days off from school with her. While I was there I would sit in the creators room and watch every single thing they did. They would draw, they would take pictures (of me, I have some of the worst poster size pictures of little Jessica), they would make cartoons, they would develop film; and I remember thinking they had the BEST job ever! I’m sure none of them knew it, but the hours they spent showing me things and taking me in the dark rooms with them to develop my own film, shaped who I am today! They lit that creative flame within my soul, and taught me a fading art form (Film Photography).
I went to college for graphic design but 13 years ago decided I would take my passion for photography and turn it into a career! Cheers to 13 years!

This photo describes the joy I’m feeling about the Sunshine Protection Act being unanimously passed in the Senate!!! This is the first step towards making Daylight savings time permanent in November of 2023! That means no more seasonal depression and no more early sunsets!!! 🙌🏽

Aside from providing you with beautiful, emotional portraits in a casual setting, engagement sessions allow us to get to know eachother before the big day. Knowing what to expect from your photographer and feeling relaxed in front of the camera are both so critical for photo and film success. During the engagement session, We love to work with you to find the styles, smiles, angles and prompts that work best for you as a couple in a pressure-free setting. That way, when your wedding day comes around we'll have already practiced and everyone will know what to expect.

Engagement sessions are the time for you and your beloved to show your inner selves, your love for one another and your favorite outfits in a relaxing and enjoyable environment. You are welcome to choose a location that speaks to you in a personal way, or let me recommend a few of my favorite spots. Some couples choose that special spot where he proposed, others choose their favorite restaurant, winery or hiking trail. Each session is carefully styled and planned for each couple, and all of our engagement sessions are photo and film!
