We will add items to swag bags at a bridal show next weekend. I believe there are 100 bags, and we'd like to represent both businesses. Trying to decide what items brides would like and keep, instead of just our flyers which is a no brainer. Pens, usb drives (expensive) with our biz info. logo - anything else anyone can recommend?

A wonderful wedding last night at the chapel. We woke up to this really nice review. Being a family business gives us total flexibility to take care of our couples. This went from a 2 pm start to a 6 pm start and 9 pm finish time. How grateful they are is so rewarding and reminds us over and over why we fell in love with hosting weddings and helping couples through some inevitable struggles. Our goal is to relieve their stress and worries by handling as many details and challenges so they can focus on the love they share on their wedding day. They had 5 service dogs - all dressed for the wedding lol. Anyone who knows us know we LOVE dogs so just another level of fun last night. I will post a link to photos soon.

We are hosting a wedding tonight and there are at least 5 service dogs. Omg - it’s the best. These are iPhone screen grabs from my Nikon so the quality is horrible - But had to post this. Better images to come.

Thanks for the great review! We truly appreciate it. And thank you LBA (Lansing Bridal Association) for delivering our award from January when we missed the meeting due to Covid. The bridal show at the Lansing Center yesterday helped us meet sooo many new couples who are booking us for 2024 and even 2025 already.

Feeling very blessed to have our power and internet restored. Also - a thank you to Randy Preston our neighbor who removed a huge old tree last year that was leaning precariously over the back part of our wedding chapel. There is no doubt if it was left it would have come crashing into our building during last week’s storm. Also appreciate the manager of our local Family Farm and Home in Portland who directed me to the right generator to power our building so we could host our wedding on Saturday and power the reception venue Eagle Hall.

We lost power last night due to the powerful storms passing through Mid-Michigan - but are blessed that that is the extent of it for us. Our hearts go out to those who have lost part of their homes and in some cases loved ones. Have never seen this much damage in Grand Ledge. We have a wedding rehearsal tonight and ceremony tomorrow. With the amazing stain glass windows - lights are not even necessary thankfully. Again - feeling blessed that we dodged the worst of it. One more chance to be thankful and patience will go a long ways. The photo is from Grand Rapids area from a TV image. It’s representative of a lot of Mid-Michigan today.

My grandson Braxton left for the Army yesterday. A big hug from his mom Casie - tears and all. I’m so very proud to have another generation standing up and serving our country!
