Happy Cinco de Mayo! Here are some fun facts about the holiday:

➡️ 40% of Americans believe (incorrectly) that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Independence Day.
➡️ The holiday actually represents the Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
➡️ It is celebrated as a "drinking" holiday in the US largely because of the marketing efforts of U.S. beer companies in the 1980s.
➡️ In the U.S., a person celebrating Cinco de Mayo will have 3.5 drinks on average, and 47% of all drinks ordered on Cinco de Mayo are margaritas!

🍻 National Beer Day + Friday + Halloweekend? Sometimes, the stars just align.

To celebrate, here are some fun facts about the number 1 adult beverage in the United States:

🍺 Beer is one of the oldest beverages on Earth, dating back over 7000 years!
🍺 The strongest beer in the world is made by a Scottish brewery called Brewmeister. The beer, "Snake Venom", contains 67.5% alcohol by volume!
🍺 The world's most expensive beer, Allsopp's Arctic Ale, was brewed in 1875 for an Antarctic expedition. It sold in 2007 for $503,300.
🍺 Royalty in medieval Europe usually skipped their morning coffee, opting to kick off their days with a bowl of beer soup containing ingredients like cream, flour, eggs, and sometimes cheese or onions.

🎃 It’s National Pumpkin Day! To celebrate, here’s a recipe for a quick and easy fall cocktail–the Pumpkin Spice White Russian!

Step 1: Garnish your rim! Dip your rim in water (or something sweet, like honey or maple syrup), then coat it in a blend of sugar and pumpkin pie spice.

Step 2: In a cocktail shaker, combine:
• 2 parts of your favorite vanilla vodka
• 2 parts pumpkin spice coffee creamer
• 1 part Kahlua
• Ice

Step 3: Shake, shake, shake!

Step 4: Pour the mixture into your glass. Garnish with a whipped cream, a cinnamon stick, and an extra dash of pumpkin spice!

🍸 October 4th is National Vodka Day! Why not celebrate with a classic vodka martini?

🧊 Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, 2.5 oz. of your favorite vodka, and half an ounce of dry vermouth. Shake it all up, then strain it into a chilled martini glass! Garnish with an olive or a lemon peel. If shaken isn't your thing, you can make this classic cocktail with a stirrer too.

🫒 If you like yours on the dry side, cut back your vermouth! For a dirty martini, add as much olive juice as you like. You can even substitute olive juice with pickle juice for an added twist!
