We are ONE WEEK away from our final dress rehearsal for The Producers!

Musical comedy at its finest, “The Producers is adapted from Mel Brooks’ 1967 film of the same name. The original Broadway production starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick opened at the St. James Theatre in 2001 and ran for 2,502 performances, winning a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards.

Failing Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his accountant Leopold Bloom scam a group of elderly women out of their nest eggs by convincing them to invest in a horrendously offensive Third Reich-themed musical secretly intended to bomb the moment it opens. When high-brow Broadway audiences mistakenly assume that the show is a satire, Bialystock finds himself with the critical acclaim that has long eluded him – and the biggest hit of his career.

Pictured are Liam Neault as Max Bialystock, Daniel Rennie as Leopold Bloom, and Karianna Merrill as Ulla.

Show dates for The Producers are July 26 and 27 & August 2 and 3 at 7:30 pm and July 28 and August 4 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now at https://deertrees-theatre.org/producers/
