A VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! ❤️

To celebrate our first summer at The Garden of Thomas, floral designer and author Sandra Sigman will be hosting a live flower arranging demonstration, whilst talking about her new book, French Blooms!

Sandra Sigman is an award-winning floral designer and owner of Les Fleurs, arranging flowers in the French style - bouquets and arrangements that are chic and romantic.
As Sandra learned while living in Paris in her twenties, the French consider each floral arrangement a unique work of art filled with passion, movement, texture, and surprise. In French Blooms, Sigman shares the distinct design principles she learned from her favorite Parisian florist, and offers tutorials, with images and instructions for creating French-inspired arrangements for different areas of the home. Projects include a mantle display in ironstone gravy boats, compote-style dining room arrangements, powder room posies and beribboned hand-tied bouquets. With chapters on choosing the right containers, and flower care and tools, along with lush photographs, many taken in Paris, Normandy and Provence, this book is both inspirational and practical. It’s also a love letter to France; from Parisian sophistication to the simple grace of provincial life.

We have received so many lovely compliments on our most recent installation in the flower shop, so I’ve decided to put together a video of how I created it for those of you who missed it in our stories! Always inspired by the beautiful in Italy, I used their interior climbing vines for my inspiration, foraged grape vine on the property to staple onto the trellis and beams, picked up my go to and most favorite garland for the greenery, and cut them into smaller bits to wire onto the vines with floral wire! Merci beaucoup again! 😘

Just placed our order with The Italian Bakery for our Tuesday event! We will open at 11am and will close when we sell out! For those of you unsure of what time you are arriving, we will post updates in our stories for when we sell out or are about to ❤️

Announcing our first event of 2023! We have temporarily transformed our shop into a French cafe for an event we will be hosting on Valentines Day! We will be taking reservations, and also accepting walk ins for dining in or flowers and baked goods to go! (It is recommended to call ahead if wanting to dine in, as seating is limited). We are so excited to see you all once again! 🥰

Another update we have for you: Our shop is also no longer an open shop. We found that being open 10-5 did not work well for our family (as we have a young son, and homeschool), and we are not on a frequented road. With that being said, we are now only focusing on events (held by us or private events by others)! We believe this will make your visits even more special, not because they will be rare, but because every event will be different and more spectacular than the one before! Thank you for all of your support, and stay tuned for more events you can attend in the future! See you on the 14th! ❤️
