The Barnes family lived at the corner of Hines Road and my siblings and I went to school with their three children….. later in life I was in the garden club with Mrs. Barnes who passed a few years ago….. Mr. Barnes has passed away and a childhood neighbor requested that I do these from her family…. A few things are from my garden….I think it’s nice that I could think about Troy Denise and Renee as I made this for their father…. Knowing that both Mr. and Mrs. Barnes loved flowers.

As much as we love flowers, it’s really about the people…. some of them are complete strangers, some of them are family friends, and some of them are family 🙂 and they entrust us with one of the most special days of their lives to make something beautiful for them…. it’s a honor and a privilege….thank you

Wildflowergypsies is comprised of Susan and Leslie… two friends that were football moms years ago… go Big Blue Varina…that came together in 2021 to combine their love of flowers and creativity into a wedding floral business. We primarily work out of Susan‘s garage and we help ourselves to flowers out of Leslie’s garden. Susan is married to Cliff, for over 30 years,and he’s always very helpful in packing the vehicles up and he does a wonderful job of cleaning up behind us in the garage. Leslie has four sons and five grandchildren. She always has her sons on the lookout for flowers in ditches and powerlines for the foraged weddings. Edit… Cliff and Susan have four lovely grandchildren. I don’t have pictures of them. I have to go steal some.

Leslie is obviously the photographer and Susan is the muscles 🙂  can we fill a canoe with flowers to float on the pond behind your ceremony? Yes, we can do that. Can we cover the top of the arbor that your stepfather made with the macramé that you made with wildflowers? Yes we can do that. Do we have a backdrop that you can use behind the sweetheart table or as a photo booth that we can cover in for magnolia and a fabric of your choice? Yes, we can do that.
