Lehua has taught Polynesian dancing for over 40 years and her daughter has continued the tradition. She has also worked at the Polynesian Cultural Center for 15 years and was a former student of Brigham Young University. We have performed at the Georgia Aquarium, Lake Lanier Islands, Ritz-Carlton at Reynolds Plantation, Paula Deen's show "Paula's Party" recently aired on the Foodnetwork, Roy's Res

taurant's Anniversary celebration, Tahitian Noni's Grand Opening at Atlantic Station, Q100's Beach Blast, Corporate functions for companies such as GE and AFLAC, Asian Pacific Command Programs at Fort Gillem, Fort McPherson, Fort Gordon, Fort Stewart; Mercer University, Georgia Southern University Cultural Event, University of Georgia, Suntrust Lunch on Broad, Superferry in Hawaii and many other reputable events.

Today, we celebrate Lā Kūʻokoʻa, the Independence Day of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

We also recognize Timoteo Ha’alilio’s efforts in helping Hawai’i gain recognition from Britain, France, and the United States as an independent sovereign nation.

This day represents the resilience and profound aloha ʻāina (love of the land) among the kama'aina.
