Camelot Farms is looking for a part time Maintenance tech. Potential for full time by summer for the right candidate.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting with the overall maintenance of Camelot Farms Equestrian Center.

Camelot Farms Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Mending/repairing/replacing fencing within the farm area.
• Repairing/replacing basic plumbing and fixing auto waterers.
• Repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Pressure washing buildings, fencing and other areas.
• Painting.
• Small projects.
• Trail maintenance and debris clean up.
• Mowing, landscaping, tractor work, dragging pastures and basic electrical work as needed.
• Maintaining areas around and within Camelot Farms.
• Assist with all upkeep and maintenance of the property.
• Resourceful use of supplies, and time.
Skills and qualifications
• Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate verbally.
• Great customer service skills including listening carefully and responding to needs in an efficient and effective manner.
• Self motivated and organized. Excellent time management skills. Ability to determine what needs to be done and prioritize urgency.
• Knowledge of horse handling and care a plus. This is not a riding position.
• Must be able to maintain a safe, orderly work environment and prioritize safety at all times.

In search of part time help guiding trail rides on St. Helena Island. Must be proficient in tacking, riding and safety, as well as be outgoing and engaging. Responsibilities include preparing horses for rides, checking in customers, safely guiding rides and engaging with customers, taking care of horses and equipment after rides. Opportunities for additional hours are available to the right candidate. If you do not have previous horse experience please do not apply. Hourly wage plus tips.

We have some exciting news to share!

After acquiring Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort this January, Seascape Hospitality Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Camelot Farms Equestrian Center, located on Saint Helena Island. Founders Joe Guerra and Adam Fuller led the acquisition on behalf of Seascape Hospitality Group and will manage the operations of the property moving forward through their management company.

Camelot Farms Equestrian Center’s services and riding excursions will be a fantastic new amenity for Fripp Island Resort visitors and residents, while remaining open to the public.

Mark and Anne Kennedy founded Camelot Farms Equestrian Center in 1999 after relocating from Atlanta, Georgia. The 62-acre horse farm with 54 horses is the finest equestrian facility in the area, bordering the marshes of the Atlantic Ocean. Camelot Farms Equestrian Center is located on Saint Helena Island, between Dataw and Fripp Islands, only five miles from Hunting Island State Park. Like much of the Lowcountry, Saint Helena is an island full of history, beauty, and culture. We wish to promote and maintain this beautiful, agricultural way of life. The timeless beauty of winding roads draped with moss-covered trees makes a perfect setting, and Camelot Farms has been the scene of choice in many film and television productions.

Camelot Farms currently offers indoor and outdoor boarding, rider training, and trail rides – either on the plantation trail or down the beautiful coastline along the Saint Helena Sound. The coastline excursion is the only beach ride offered year-round in the greater area. All of Camelot’s trail rides provide a unique recreation opportunity for horse lovers, history buffs, and nature lovers alike. Featuring a wide variety of family and kid-friendly programming, Camelot Farms is an exciting addition to the robust services offered by Seascape Hospitality Group. Future plans for the Equestrian Center include upgrades to the barn and boarding facilities, enhancements to the property, and expanded educational and family programming.

Simple country equestrian farm setting. We had 6 in our family, kids ages 4 to 20, plus our dog. The fenced backyard was great and we were comfortable. There is a nice walk down a driveway through the farm where horses would come to visit us at the fences. A quiet beach at the delta was very close where we could fish or just relax. Hunting Island was right up the road and a car pass was provided.
